Because there is an outside world to being on here , how did wise men say podcast speak about it on their podcast weeks before the game and it was openly discussed on the rtg board.
Yes I know mate, I was specifically asking about this forum.
I don't look at WMS because they're relentlessly miserable and post any nonsense they can to have digs at the club. RTG isn't much better at times so I avoid that.
I also went to the Leeds and WBA where no-one mentioned anything in the pubs or the ground ...
... I don't live my life on 606.
It's now being claimed everything was common knowledge for weeks. That's so people can call KLD out as a liar and a hypocrite because 'he must have known'.
That's an agenda imo.

I'm getting behind the club by demanding some accountability for the PR disaster.
You're not helping the club by trying to force people to shut up about it, you're helping the people who've ****ed up to the detriment of the club keep their jobs and stay in a position where this can and will happen again.

I wasn't told directly about it , but did listen to wms podcast and seen numerous posts about it on the rtg board .
A few of the lads that sit behind me were discussing it also.
That all being said I think its undersandble why people still wouldn't believe it would actually happen.
I know I've gone on about this but there's a feeling that, if you don't go along with all the criticism of KLD/SAFC, you're a gullible rose-tinted dope.
As long as people keep that up I'll keep responding.
I think the problem is, is that some people are using it as a stick to beat the owners with. I've seen stuff calling them all sorts of things and that's unjustified. Whether the owners were complicit in the installation of the pro-Mag signs (and not just in the redecoration of the bar, if you see the distinction), there are still lots of grey areas as to whether or not they were deliberately 'selling out the fans'. Calling for the owner to leave over a genuine error of judgement, and an error of judgement that was immediately rectified, is heavy handed.
Do you think the club don't deserve criticism for what happened?
Whoever signed off on it has to go. Someone made the decision and that's where the accountability lies.
I'd be very surprised if it was KLD - he really should have bigger fish to fry - but if it is, then it's a fundamental misunderstanding of the club.
Would Quinn have said yes? Murray? Short? Hell, even Donald and Methven would have treated the idea with the contempt it deserved.

No arguements from me. We never agree on anything but do here. Absolutely bang on the money. ..someone will carry the can anyway.
KLD has built an infrastructure and the management team in general is a lot stronger but KLD whilst being ultimately responsible will have delegated responsibility to people within the team to make decisions, on this occasion major errors of judgement have been made and I am sure the person responsible will have been rightly told of their mistake and punished accordingly . I consider SAFC to be better organised and managed by KLD than the club has for many years and him being let down by one of his staff pales in to insignificance compared to mistakes and mismanagement in the clubs past - time to move on and back the club , haway the lads !!!
Think I'm happy to wait and see what comes out in the minutes now . Hopefully things will be alot more clearer.
Of course they wouldn't have said yes to it. Which is what makes me think KLD wouldn't have either.
I got about half way through that and had to stop reading as it is basically a 1 sided biased and very negative focused opinion with some truth thrown in but in sharing the negative spin from what I can see there is very little focus on the positive changes that have been made (maybe he became more positive in the second half of his diatribe) did he mention the Improvements to the academy or the improvements in scouting and coaching, did he concentrate on how our previous youth development which had been decimated has been re-invigorated, did he mention the introduction of the data analytical rise and how we now as a team have a strong base to build from. All he has done is look for the negatives (which truthfully there are some especially the black cats bar fiasco) and push his point of view with a fully negative spin.
I am generally a very positive supporter and some of the things about the derby did not sit well with me (the allocation and placement of their fans is not one of them as the decisions right or wrong are driven by the safety group and the fact that Newcastle were prepared to jump through a few hoops to get more fans there really should have raised concerns with these so called professional's) but the truth is this club is definitely heading in the right direction for the first time in a long time and again I will say it change takes time on and off the pitch and I am afraid that whoppers like Chris Weatherspoon do not give me confidence in any way shape or form and the fact he has a platform which supposedly represents Sunderland fans is as annoying as his unbalanced opinions.

The same people who are screaming for "accountability" would be screaming unfair dismissal if they were the one to be blamed and sacked.
Its all about me, me, me. Well just grow up. Anyone can make an error or mistake. It's what you do to put it right that's important, along with the fact that you learn from it.
When I was an apprentice i was told that you learn far more from your mistakes than you do from getting things right. The biggest being that you didn't make the same mistake again.
Bloody hell, I've got out of the wrong side of the bed this morning

If there's no accountability we'll be back to what Donald and Methven found before too long (not to excuse their performance in the slightest mind). A staff happy to do as little as possible safe in the knowledge there are no consequences, no matter how big the **** up.

If I'd let that happen without checking with my boss first I'd expect to be blamed and sacked.
There are some mistakes you should only get one shot at avoiding because they're so fundamental. Letting the mags decorate your home bar in their colours is one of them. The Celtic supporting bloke in the office said there would probably be a riot if that had happened there.

one thing that really annoys me is when people say are owners don't want to be promoted and just want to make money in the championship....,if we went up and then got relegated again i believe we are guaranteed 200m if he really didn't want to spend that money he could pocket the lot not spend a penny when promoted and then sell again when relegated and probably make about 200m+ just doing that alone

Nothing like stretching a point for dramatic effect is there.
The daft thing is yes, I agree with you, there are mistakes that do cost you your job, and I would suggest that you and I are from a generation that knows that and would accept it, hell we'd have probably resigned before they sacked us. That's one of the biggest lessons to learn..
In my view its likely that in this case it's lots of little mistakes, along with somebody stretching what they thought they could get away with that resulted in this situation, BUT, what do I know about what actually happened, nothing. Let the club get on with its review, deal with it as they see fit and move on.
I dont need to be wailing and gnashing my teeth for all eternity.
The Mags will be laughing at us at the way some of our fans are carrying on and fair play if the roles were reversed we'd be doing exactly the same. Sometimes you just have to take it in the chin and move on.
There's been no accountability so far. When there is, we can move on. Not before.
