For me its the "where there's blame, there's a claim" mentality.
The same people who are screaming for "accountability" would be screaming unfair dismissal if they were the one to be blamed and sacked.
Its all about me, me, me. Well just grow up. Anyone can make an error or mistake. It's what you do to put it right that's important, along with the fact that you learn from it.
When I was an apprentice i was told that you learn far more from your mistakes than you do from getting things right. The biggest being that you didn't make the same mistake again.
