Whilst we can see a lot of progress on the field and not everyone agrees with that, but that’s football and that’s what we should be talking about.

But someone said above, ticket office is a joke. People trying to give the club money and there are obstacles.

Club Shop - having just one at the stadium isn’t good enough, we need one in the city centre. If a vape shop, charity shop and cake shop can make it work I’m sure Sunderland can. But just need to be stocked and not left with absolute crap.

Who’s idea was it to renew with justsport or whatever they called and then go back on it days after, fans can never get a shirt and that deal was going to be renewed, beggars belief. We need someone who will release a shirt at the start of the summer, no release a few hundred at the end of the holidays to then say no stock till October. People are being forced to buy counterfeit strips because you can’t supply and kids want them.

The amount of people in the concourse at half-time is alarming. You just can’t move at all, can the doors be opened and barriers put around outside to help alleviate the congestion, Leicester , Blackburn, Coventry to name a few all do this and it works.

I would have a question for Speakman though I know the chances of it making the cut are slim to none. They've talked before about adopting and developing a playing identity for the club with it being one that the fans will enjoy and be proud of. I was wondering if the slow, more methodical (ponderous) football we've played this season is part of that and is by design? Is it intentional and will it be the preferred style of play in the future over and instead of the exciting, fast paced, attacking football we saw last season based on some (I think ill conceived) notion that it gives us more control in games?

Thanks all. Was good to get people's opinions from here as well. The question around playing style is great, I'll mention it f I can (albeit I don't think Speakman is attending).

I'll make sure the club are well aware of the frustrations that people have had. I'll temper it by not sounding like we all want KLD to **** off though, because I know that doesn't reflect what I suspect is the vast majority of the support!

Great having you on here imo.

I'm sure the club are aware of feelings in the support but good to have you there. We have a football man for an owner, not something most fans can say. He was present at Hull at Christmas, not sure how many other owners would do that tbh.

i know it's going to take a week for the minutes to
come out but would you be able to post on here tomorrow if you've been happy with what's been said or abit disappointed

I'll try my best. I'm glad the club have committed to getting the minutes out within a week, that'll help. RAWA might also ask if we can release some sort of a summary prior to that, but would need club involvement. I imagine from the tone of my posts you'll be able to tell which areas I'm happy about mind!

Good question and I'd like to see that put forward to Nick Barnes to ask Beale about it (if it isn't raised this evening). I know that the team is limited by lack of attacking options and Beale initially seemed to be aware of it but it's getting worse.
 
My question to Speakman relates to something he said was the strategy when he first arrived in relation to squad composition.

he discussed a balanced representation of the first team squad across 4 age groups in order to ensure good development of young players but also ensuring the team progresses

those age groups were
Academy-20
21-24
25-28
29+

our transfer strategy since promotion especially last 2 windows has moved away from this balanced squad composition. And 80% of incomings have been either academy-20 or 21-24 age groups

this has coincided with that majority of outgoings or players becoming unavailable have been ages 25 and above

does this suggest the original strategy for development and team progression is not applicable in the championship?

I understand that but my opinion on your question probably goes back to the chancers and the fact that they had stripped our youth teams bare of any talent so we had very slim pickings to bring in from the youth teams and whilst I am aware that our signings have in the most been young lads of free agents I think we have started to build a really good solid base of good up and coming players and just need a little extra experience to add in. I would not like us to be spending millions on players of 29/30 but can see that getting some players in the 24 to 29 age group would be an advantage but it is a fine balance as we have players like DN who has over 100 first team games under his belt at the age of 21 which if fantastic for him and our club and we need to make sure that we keep the lines for progression open to allow these young players to realise their potential and help attract good young talent to the club whilst also making sure the club is progressing on the field, that is probably not as easy as some fans may think it is and needs a bit of balancing with a light touch and not the heavy hand some may want.

Why ask,,, the club don't give a feck about statments. You have equal standing in a bi -part meeting.

Fair point. The issue just comes about if we've misinterpreted something that safc, or one of the other groups, has said. Could cause confusion and look pretty unprofessional. They're hoping to get the minutes out within a week, and with any luck the process can be sped up.

GG, there's only one side looking "unprofessional" at this moment in time and It aint RAWA.. As the saying goes, "it takes two to tango"
