That article very typically takes the "if in doubt, moan" approach to every situation.

The idea that KLD only donated £10k to the display to keep everyone in line is just reaching.

He accuses people of thinking the club can do no wrong whilst always assuming the club is doing wrong. There's a middle ground and he never hits it.

It serves its purpose though. Its an echo chamber and people lap it up. Before you know it national media start quoting him and his mates as being "typical" sunderland fans.

His article also moans about how fans shouldn't be told how to support their football club whilst later on critices fans who "seemingly defend whatever anyone at the top of the club chooses to do".

He basically means everyone should agree.... with him. Which won't happen whilst he continues to have a writing style that is designed to challenge and argue.

Sorry for moaning. I’m just frustrated as I’ve just read the telegraph article from this morning which again quotes one of the other wise men say people who genuinely says “most Sunderland fans have reservations about the transfer model”. (Paraphrasing - can’t remember exact quote as I closed it in fury)

which might be true in his echo chamber on twitter. But just doesn’t reflect the Sunderland fans I know and talk to. Some have reservations. Not most.

Doesn't he mean 'the vast majority' <laugh>

It's just so easy to make up facts isn't it.

Most fans i know agree with the model of buying young talent to develop and grow, but would also appreciate a little flexibility around experienced players.

That doesnt mean they want money wasted but can appreciate that unless something amazing happens, we need a mix of players.

Then you have the extremes (on both sides) who blindly defend the model or want it binning and millions thrown at it

You’re never going to get an accurate opinion unless they ask everyone attending the match to fill out a poll and even then that’s only match goers but in my own opinion from those I’ve spoken to and from what I’ve seen/read myself I think a lot of what’s in that article regarding the off the field stuff and the mags game is exactly how the majority of fans are feeling at the minute.

Transfer policy is fine I just think it can be improved. Nobody wants to see us having a transfer window like we did when f*cking Simon Grayson came in but we do need to be flexible if opportunities arise. As Hansen said “you can’t win anything with kids” :emoticon-0102-bigsm

I read that article this morning and thought "what a load of crap". This afternoon, I stumbled across one of the FB groups commenting on the article and it was full of even more nonsense.

The article itself makes massive, huge assumptions about the events surrounding the derby. Anyone with half a brain can see that there are a variety of scenarios that could have led to those events but the author chooses to believe the most negative theories, which are also the most unlikely in most cases. There has been plenty of anecdotal evidence posted on here and in other places saying that things didn't unfold that way, so why are people still believing what he says?

Why are people so keen to hate KLD? Seems to me like people just want to make themselves unhappy.

At the minute it’s all he said she said. Just because KLD said he didn’t know (despite every c*nt and his dog in Sunderland knowing for nearly a month beforehand) doesn’t mean he’s telling the truth and just because others are saying we allowed them in to do it doesn’t mean they’re telling the truth.

What worries me though is that it wasn’t just the BCB. That was one issue amongst nearly half a dozen others related to the derby. And if the gate receipts thing is true then I don’t know how much more ammunition people need to draw a conclusion.

This is what I mean though. People knew that the bar was going to be redecorated. I'm sure KLD knew that it was being redecorated. What no one at the club knew was that it would be redecorated with those signs. Does anyone really think that anyone in a senior position would have accepted those changes? Someone on the outside clearly took advantage of the situation.

Someone on the inside should’ve never let that happen though. How difficult is it to have someone supervise them?

You let a contractor in, you leave them to get on with it. If the photos hadn't been leaked on social media, someone from the club would have come in, seen them, they'd have been taken down, and no one would be any the wiser.
