They won't win the next when. Absolutely not.

They can, because it's happened before. This is something Starmer should be very wary of while everyone else is measuring for Downing Street curtains. It's exactly the same trap Corbyn fell into in 2017.

Exactly, it would take a monumental **** up by Labour for the Tories to win the next election…but unfortunately it’s still possible.

Wonder if this is one of the Tory fan boys off here at the Coronation today wearing 2007-08 home strip

It's sorted mate ...

... Sunak said, yesterday, we're having 20,000 more police officers.

Fixed.
Think that puts us back to where we started 13 years ago before the tory cuts. It's just been mentioned on Laura Kuenssberg show that Labour are going to add another 13,500 officers including community officers. Something we have been missing around here.

Something we have been missing everywhere mate.

It could be a hundred thousand, could be a million, it's still gone. Policing was built on respect, and I daresay a healthy dose of fear. That's well away now. All but the very worst criminals now know it's vanishingly unlikely they'll get caught, and if they do they'll be out very quickly.

All the experience of actual policing has been driven away, so we get either nothing or the full riot response. Rather than sensibly policing events they're up on floats dancing with the participants.

That's like "borrowing" £10 from someone, paying it back to them and then saying the recipient is £10 better off. :emoticon-0102-bigsm

We've lost so much policing in terms of numbers, experience and reputation. It's why continued investment is so important in services and key infrastructure.

We have the same situation starting with Nurses now. If we don't invest (in the right way) then we'll break a system beyond repair.

That's before we even get started on the state of transport, water, energy, communities and food banks, social care etc.

This whole country is in a state of managed decline in my opinion with the priority being to allow Corporations to pick from the carcass.
