The tail is wagging the dog. But my guess is that it's going to take a lot more until enough actually do anything about it, including me, so we're all guilty of allowing it to get to this stage.
It seems to have resurfaced after a report into the Council's failure in handling the fiasco. Council’s actions in trees saga were ‘serious and sustained’ leadership failure UK NewsPublished: Mar 6, 2023Last Updated: 22 hours ago Sir Mark Lowcock has criticised Sheffield Council in an independent report following the felling of thousand of trees and protests on the streets. There were also allegations from contractors that protesters had poisoned them with cups of tea and a middle-aged woman was arrested in the suburban setting of Rivelin Valley Road for blowing a toy trumpet. https://www.shropshirestar.com/news...ere-serious-and-sustained-leadership-failure/
According to the article, I think there was only one person charged with anything, and I don't think that got far. The Police and Council made fools of themselves.
I blame the ****ing trees, the rooty bastards, waving their branches all over the place and growing all them leaves every year.
She should get in touch with HNK Solicitors, easy thousand quid minimum to be got from the police. Hum*erside plod had to cough up over 2k last week to two auditors who had the temerity to film in public. When challenged for their names and addresses they refused, so plod dragged up section 50 of the police reform act, aka the policeman's friend. Keep 'em peeled. I've just had an e mail from ERYCC in answer to something I raised with them. The e mail was signed with the persons name and in brackets afterwards (he/him)... WTF!
