They are spot on with this though.
2 things jump out for me:
- "Thanks to some vaguely-worded paragraphs in the original SMC lease and some sharp legal arguments, the Allams won the day
but morally it was always a wrong move". That's exactly how it felt for me, just morally so wrong. As Ehab infamously said "we do what is morally right .... for us". It was an absolute ****'s trick, no matter what the benefit to the football club we support.
- "Until the Allams took over, the SMC had always recorded a modest profit. After their takeover, it never once made a profit". I assume that is true; if so, it tells you all you need to know.
