Can’t see the problem with it really - it’s Bazza giving his personal opinions. I agree with most of what he says in the piece, although I’d probably move Oscar down to his middle category (because he’s been pretty ineffective recently), and Tetteh up to the successes if we ignore his injury. Seri and Woods possibly the jury still out, but personally I think they’ve been pretty good signings, so maybe unfair to single them out in the headline. But hardly a hanging offence.

Why put a negative in the headline? Why not put just the first 7 words, or, heaven forbid, choose a couple of names of success to put as the headline instead? Yes, not a hanging offence but why not have a positive or at least even a neutral headline? As said, just so unnecessary

It’s more the use of failure describing 2 signings who’ve not had a chance. Leave them out but publicly labelling them a failure will never sit right with me. Figs has been a failure but I put that on here knowing he’ll not see it, id not publish an article calling him one.

Today of all days too ffs

Whats wrong with the article? Pretty much spot on to me..... if anything it kind on Acun, we all know we have spunked the KLP cash.... that's gone, with very little if any advances, are any players better than KLP????

Because they are a bottom feeding rag with low rent "reporters" who can only generate click bait headlines that are purposely written in such a way to create said clicks and comments.

The article is fine, it’s publicly labelling players “failures” that doesn’t sit right with me. Especially when they’ve not played

Read it again & explain to me how these players could be described as a success

    Failure
Adama Traore: What should have been City's first signing of the summer ended up being one of their last, owing to the injury he picked up in training.

Though he's rated by City staff, his injury record in recent seasons remains a concern, and without a competitive game in 12 months, it's hard to expect him to have an impact on the Championship any time soon.

Salah-Eddine Oulad M'Hand: His arrival from Arsenal brought great excitement, but owing to an injury sustained during the Gunners' pre-season tour, we're yet to see him.

The teenager is one for the future, however, and City will likely persevere with him through his injury troubles.

Marcus Forss: Probably the most frustrating of the failures, given the reputation he was building for himself at Brentford. The move didn't work out, he went back to West London before moving to Middlesbrough in the summer for £3m - and that's not worked either.

Liam Walsh: Likely signed in January as cover for Matt Smith who was sent back to Manchester City after his move didn't work out, Walsh felt like a strange signing at the time and as time wore on, it became even more so.

I don’t disagree with what you’re saying, I just disagree with the use of calling them a failure publicly in the local media. The first 2 shouldn’t even be spoken about, the latter actually had a chance to be a failure.

Why does everything in the media have to be so extreme when talking about footballers? Surely the jury is still out on 2 players who’ve not stepped on the football pitch. How can they be put alongside players who played and failed?

My interpretation is that they are calling the transfer a failure - not the player

To be fair, that's a harsh criteria to use. If it was easy to spend the KLP money and get someone better than him, then surely Brentford would've just cut out the middle man and themselves bought the players who are better than him but cost less. Some said at the time that it was a great deal for us because we'll spend the money and get someone better, but I was always of the view that that was never going to be easy.

Time will tell. We wouldn't have finished 19th last year without him and we're currently 19th with half a season to go.

Looks that have reinvested the money back with a net zero at least or potential positive return if we can have a better second half of the season.

Whether he gets value for the additional funds invested probably depends on some players coming back from injury and again, having a better second half of the season than first.

We have more points on board than last season though, so is that replacing KLP so terribly awfully?

New low today. '32 ways how you know you are a Hull fc fan'. Followed by only' '30 ways how you know you are a Rovers fan'.
Then an article rubbishing Hull City's signings, but surprisingly, another highlighting FC's best signings.
