With a decent team around him, Muriqi would tear up the championship. He’s far beyond this level.
Some interesting points on merchandise, incomings and his aim of tap half/play offs
Did you worry when we signed Hernandez?
Never had you down as being from Glasgow, pal.
When we were in the Premier League, just sold Shane Long for £12 million and had the safety net of parachute payments if we went down? No, I wasn’t worried.
Just been taken over, 20m bids in for an academy player who cost **** all, biggest FFP headroom in the league. You shouldn't be worried this time either.
Fair enough, you’re probably right. I did look up most expensive transfer fees paid by Championship clubs and whilst £10 million is a lot, the likes of Villa, Forest, Boro, Wolves have spent much more on a single player in the Championship.
I think your concerns are fair, Tufan is costing £4m which is already miles ahead of what we've spent in the last three seasons alone. Our outlay for this window could top £20m if Muriqi joins for £10m, Sayaadmanesh for £2.2m and Wright for £2m, plus the loan fee for Baxter and whoever else we are after.
But our FFP headroom is massive, we're talking Ant McPartland proportions here, it's all good.
According to Tan, Allahyar is our player already.
Yes, he is, but he cost £2.2m, so I bunged his transfer fee in with our Summer spend.
Incidentally, I think he's a player we'll make a huge profit on.
Theres potential for that on Traore, Figuerido as they were free's weren't they?
4 m for Tufan - could get our money back in 2 years - was a 9m.player last year wasn't he?
I’m glad it’s taking a while in a sense, it means the players want to be going to a genuine project for the benefit of their career.I have to say the quality of players we are trying to sign is always going to make it difficult to get it over the line, we are a championship team, and Acun is trying to get them here to carry out his dream, some may dial into that, others won't. Given the type of players we are targetting of course other potentially bigger clubs will be looking too. What is nice is the intent to up the standard.. and I'm sure given Keslers contacts we will have plan A through to Z, unlike the other clueless fkrs who put every egg they had into one basket, or should I say pocket ! Let's have a little common sense eh , and not wet our knickers everytime we miss out.

Keep bringing the good vibes ToastA hell of a lot of work is being done to get Muriqi over the line, player really wants to come and medical could happen over the weekend after a fee was agreed with Lazio (I've been told £10m but it's probably less than that up front with add ons for promotion), talks with Haji Wright also continuing.
Yeah my favourite City player of all timeYou mean like Ben Arfa?

Just been taken over so part of planned investment, 20m bid in for an academy player who cost **** all, biggest FFP headroom in the league. You shouldn't be worried this time either.
I do worry where the money is coming from, I believe Acuns personal wealth isn't that great in football terms. There were rumours of wealthy backers, but as far as i'm aware that isn't actually true.
As you say, theres no one better positioned FFP wise than us, so as long as Acun can afford to keep pumping the money in i'm not going to complain.
