Pukki is a winner a man of character, Aarons too.

A rare trait for people living in this country , these traits are notably absent in our upper echelons of society unlike Finland.
We reserve better.

Farke lost nearly every game as a Premier league manager same with Smith in charge.

Probably nothing to do with our political leadership or lack there of

Some players develop out of sync with what the first team needs, others line up perfectly. Feels like the latter for Omobamidele. Hopefully he can stay injury free and be a first choice CB this season.

Amongst the test of our younger talents:

Sargent still has a chance of making the USA squad for the World Cup, they're really struggling for a consistent striker. 10 goals by December should get him in the squad?

Idah has had two seasons where he could/should have established himself curtailed by injuries. He really needs a full season looking more than comfortable at this level.

Aarons should be the best RB in the division if he stays. Would like to see him add more end product in terms of goals/assists. I think he needs that in order to convince teams to buy him and overlook any size concerns.

Sorensen, Cantwell, Placheta, Tzolis, all need to earn significant minutes this season if they are to stay.

And we could add Mumba, McCallum, Rowe, Springett and Barden to that list. It could also be a crucial season for Dowell and Sinani.

Big rebuild for Burnley this summer then.

Burnley offloading some big wage earners by the sound of it. If he wasn't 32, Ben Mee could be useful as the left footed CB we need. Akin Famewo is a more reasonable option for that though.

Unfortunately Famew0 isn't good enough unless we're looking at another relegation, rather than a return to the PL.

Interesting MFW look at our present situation preparing for the new season:

The comments following it are also interesting. Our recruitment last season was disappointing, but hardly the worst ever. The money was spread too thinly on too many players. Things may look brighter if Sargent, Tzolis and Gunn rise to the occasion and Rowe and Springett continue their development. Hayden is a good start and Sinani could also make a difference after his successful loan at Huddersfield.
