Just thought I would throw this in. I've just turned 76, and have been playing at a local cheap course for a few years, twice a week, only 9 holes and walk, which is difficult in this heat (regularly 35-38 deg C) Two of the holes you have to drive over water, which I was able to manage easily a few months ago, but now I struggle, but have to admit my drivers are nearly as old as me (just kidding, but they must be 20 years old now). So my question is, can the drivers lose power? I've just ordered a Ping G425, because I used my other drivers Ping G15 and G20 many many times over the years, not to mention hours and hours at the driving range. Will the new driver give me a bit more distance? Or should I start playing from the red tees?
no mobile phones and every has to use a payphone. Max 4 mins adverts per hour of adverts. Caddies must wear the local uniform. All these little things to me make it a bit special. Just like our Open has little quirks that make it a wonderful thing.
