It’s not VAR though, it’s the rules and how they’re told to implement them.
Was it part of the VAR 'service' that missed the goal that crossed the line earlier in the season? I think it might have been for Sheff Utd or Villa.
 
If strikers are now not going to be able to point to where they want the ball played, the games ****ed. It's a natural thing to do when getting in behind an opponents defence.

The thing with that Bamford one was that he'd clearly checked his run to stay onside, which his body was. And like you say, in the act of pointing to where he wants the ball to get in behind, his hand makes him offside. It's such a bullshit decision.
