They're rewriting the rules to suit VAR though so it's still essentially down to it.

 

The thing with that Bamford one was that he'd clearly checked his run to stay onside, which his body was. And like you say, in the act of pointing to where he wants the ball to get in behind, his hand makes him offside. It's such a bullshit decision.
