I'm an ankle consultant and these things can go wrong pretty quickly - get the Christmas cards wrote now is my advice.
I have torn Ankle Ligaments in the Ankle i injured at the weekend. The good news is it will heal after a few weeks with plenty of rest..
The Newly snapped Ankle is not so good though. It may need amputating or it could even result in death. The next 48 hours will be critical for me.
Apparently walking down stairs with my lasses high heels on to purposely break it was a bad idea and there are easier ways to find out if i have torn Ankle ligaments. The doctor said i need to stop taking advice from people on a forum and start looking after myself better in future if i manage to pull through this.... I feel so stupid now.
Yes thats what the Doc said. He also advised i eat my Xmas lunch a week early otherwise i may never get to eat one ever again.

Rest in pieces would be more appropriate looking at the state of my Xray results. Thankyou though mate, i will do.
Your doctor needs to watch his lip or he'll be the one needing treatment.

Yeah i told him you were a good bloke. He told me to start choosing my friends more wisely though and dont fall for people trying to make me wear High heels to get a sexual kick at the thought of me.

Ligament damage can take longer to heal than a break.. Hope it is not to serious damage..

Thanks mate, its been a tough 48 hours and it was touch and go for a while but ive managed to pull through.
Ive been told i will have to spend the rest of my life walking with my feet pointing in a quarter to 3 position. Ive kept my life though, and thats all that matters.
