You speak sense mate. Its amazing (well no its not!) how hyper some of our fans get when nothing has been confirmed by club yet

In fact you can guarantee a fair few will be hyper when announcement is made and once that is done, we should get on with backing the manager instead of continue picking holes about his past or whatever.

I've literally just read it, but somehow already managed to forget the person's name, but a journalist just tweeted that the club are down to the final two candidates and expect an announcement within 24 hours. So perhaps some of the information you're being fed is disinformation now?

Edit: It was Scott Wilson of the Northern Echo.

Maybe someone saw a cloud over the AOL, which had the shape of Parkinson and put 2 and 2 together....

Parkinson ffs. I would have felt better if it had been Michael Parkinson, at least he has a bit of charisma. Wont be rushing back to the UK anytime soon to see him or the team.

As I've mentioned elsewhere one of my concerns is that donald is relying heavily on hill and coton in this process.
It truly fills me with dread.
They will want someone who has their football philosophy and that would never be stendel because he plays high press, fast attacking football where people try to keep their passes on the ground.
With those 2 we may as well have just closed the doors for a fortnight and hired pulis. They too are dinosaurs

You join the forum today and your first post is to attack someone who has consistently stated they're only posting what they're told and has been pretty accurate so far considering the events happening at the club the last few weeks. What a thoroughly fulfilling life you must lead.

For those slating Parkinson - how many of his games have you seen? Are you that bothered about playing silky football as, from what I can see, I've oly watched uitter rubbish for most of my years on the earth! TYhe odd good season (3rd div in the 80s, Roy Keane, Peter Reid, Allardyce) and the rest has been utter bilge! - My first season was 1981/82 at Roker! (I was 6)

Football style doesn;t matter to me. Winning does. Chelsea won the league and were awful to watch under Mourinho!

Which, according to @mojobo means you're full of ****.

I'm just passing on info as you are.

People don't have to believe it, or even read it.

Think the OP should add to the heading "... Or maybe it's not..."

    Tin hat on, but:
Could the rumours of Parkinson have been started by Donald/Hill. Start a rumour, see the general fan response to it. Obviously I'm not suggesting they'll purely base their choice over fan response, but if they have a couple of good options and Parkinson is the cheapest but they're unsure how it would go down, better to release a little rumour and then see it hasn't been received particularly well so go for your other choice (Stendel? Hence suspended market) and get RR to release that Parkinson isn't there.

So you thought it sensible to post something unproven in the knowledge it would upset/dismay others and because you saw your mate' getting flack'?

As others have said it doesn't add up...the op was adamant that Parkinson took training but it seems very likely that journos would have picked up on that, and if that's not accurate no reason to believe any of it.

Nice to see you made it over here Jack and agreed,
Said on the new manager thread,
Uninspiring if it is Parkinson and might point to takeover collapse but he can't be judged until he's got plenty games under his belt.

Whoever comes in hopefully does well but no good or sense writing anyone off before they start

Parkinson has the look of Wilkinson in his younger days.
HW was a canny manager in his earlier days. Very evangelical but it worked.
By the time we got him he was daft as a brush
