By the way, I wasn't exactly going to ask for a selfie but I sneaked a photo of him talking to the next table after he'd been to mine because I know people always say they want proof. This will be pointless if I get no info out of them like but still!

He always hows his face around, and has a chat with fans there tbf. Looks a bit of an odd bloke, but comes across ok. The young Dons players used to use the DW gym across from the entrance. Used to see Deli Ali in a few times, and bumped into Martin Allen (Mad Dog) in Asda when he was manager.
Funniest memory there, was a charity day of football there years ago. The bad thing for me at the time, being a smoker, was they wouldn't let anyone out for a tab, and the day was on for about 5 hours with various games. An announcement came over would the driver of a Mini Cooper REG (Whatever it was) move their car as it was blocking someone. I thought i would use it as an excuse to have a quick tab, and pretend it was my car, but it seemed about another 100 blokes all had the same idea at the same time. The stewards didn't know what to do, with everyone shouting "It's my car!"

Cheers. He said to the other table that he'd be back here (pitchside bar it's called) after for a drink. I was going to have an early night but I've now decided that he's bound to have asked Donald something about the takeover, you meet another owner when this is going on you're going to ask. So I'm staking the place out. Hope they win so everyone is in a good mood and I'll see if I can get anything out of them. Don't let on that I'm a Sunderland fan, maybe pretend that I have a better job than I do, try and get them talking. I'm on it (and I'm on carlsberg all night so this might not go to plan). I'll report back later

Roker report did say it was done. With their links to SD i thought it was gonna be announced any minute at the time. I just think these owners are now of the opinion, that people know it's agreed (Or fee agreed if anyone wants to say a deal agreed is not done) and that they might as well get everything sorted prior to announcement.
They don't sound like the sort who would come out and say we have this and that plan, to be told by a spotty journalist to point out that's not possible due to this or that, that they didn't take into account.I don't think any more leaks will come (Unless they want it) until it's announced.

Up until that moment people had accepted that the club were using Roker Report as a mouthpiece.

When they confirmed my claim that the deal was done I was naturally delighted.

For a time it showed I'd been right all along, then the announcement was delayed imo and everyone began to doubt.

I've never changed my stance for a second.

F'kin hell, it's like the East Stand lavvies at HT on here, @Smug in Boots, you have certainly upped the membership mate, hopefully a few will stay when the take over happens.. Good board this to all the new lads and lasses, a lot of the old BBC 606 are here but it just isn't as vibrant as it used to be but that's hardly surprising.. All the best to the lot of ya and enjoy the hospitality..<ok>

You can only go from what you have heard , and seen. I thought RR had the green light when i watched it, with the way they were speaking about it. It's normal timing for big takeovers, i have since found out. We all just want that green light. It's a shame what was a really good thread on RTG, then went down the usual route, resulting in loads coming onto here, but may not be a bad thing in the long run

People can use this forum as a drop in centre for a chat and a bit of info ...
... can't promise tea & biscuits though :)

Listened to the latest RR podcast in the gym this morning, the lad apologised for saying it was done and said he couldn’t hide behind it or pretend otherwise.
Fair enough he apologised and credit for that but bloody hell he didn’t half set a monster away :headbang:

Well you get given Tea and Biscuits when you give blood. It feels like given blood trying to keep up with everything.A bit of needle and a few pricks along the way to the finale. I'm drained with the whole thing, but i can't leave until it's been seen through now.
