Didn't they state a couple of weeks ago that they were attending the MK Dons game. Maybe this was there intention all the time to break the news and be there for the first official match in charge?

We aren't a listed company so they can announce when they like rather than on a weekday so I think you maybe right that it will be Saturday at the game with the new owners on the pitch for the announcement. Should give a great boost to the crowd ( or at least the half that are at their seats 15 minutes before kick-off ) that will hopefully provide extra motivation to the team and we get started on a winning run - it's the hope that kills!

All this talk makes me wonder if Sir John himself hasn't return to the fold(s) in disguise. <laugh>
Sounds like the Italian version of 'ello 'ello! <laugh>.

Could re-develop brownfield sites in Hendon or Pennywell and relocate the businesses there. Puts companies in better facilities with better access to transport routes like A19.

As a city, we really under-utilise the riverside upstream of the town bridge.

Not to mention the South Docks facility at Hendon, and its potential, our council wanted to fill it in not long age, my suggestion would be to dump the civic centre a few miles east of it, fully occupied.

Who's the main culprit over there for questioning your info over there?

There's just a clump of posters who whinge at virtually everything anyone posts, they're all clones so none really stand out tbh. They rarely post threads, or opinions, because it's easier for them to just snipe away than stick their necks out. When they're left without targets they don't know which way to turn. Even after I was banned they were still lining up, weeks later, to discect the tiniest grammatical errors. A misplaced adjective was pounced on like a smoking gun.

Really mate, that's quite infantile for adults.

Lots of people, now coming on here, have said the same thing ...

... that they're tired of the cliques, thread derailing and personal attacks.

They'll hopefully somewhere here that welcomes debate but doesn't tolerate trolls and wums.

@Smug in Boots. I totally get where your coming from. Most people welcomed the info you were giving us over there and others just wanted to shoot it down. Quite a few were long time posters, so it wasn't as if it were mags joining up to wind people up.

With all forums patterns develop over time and all posters have a particular 'character' and 'style', of posting.

The clump of people I've mentioned seem to almost always fit into a rough stereotype.

They seem to be Sunderland supporters who've mostly lost interest, rarely go and don't have mates to go with. They almost never go to away games and seem to carry a grudge against the club for whatever reason.

They appear to be jealous of the more optimistic supporters, especially those who go to games with mates, meet up with the lads, have a pint & a sing song and recount their stories of the day.

There have been more than a few of those you would expect BUT the worst for me has been Jardine who keeps insisting that Reiver posted as a fact, on more than one occasion, when completion would be announced.

That was something he never did and he made it quite clear, when posting, that completion dates were his opinion not fact.

Not only that, he then uses the falsehood to justify his claim that R has posted nothing that he has not learnt from the press, which is laughable but some will believe.

If he sells the Hilton I'd say that would be the end of his interest.

If he keeps it then there's probably a bigger reason than making a few quid from a hotel in the NE of England.

I did wonder a few weeks ago whether the hotel may have been something which was holding things up. By that I mean the new owners wanting to acquire it and Ellis not wanting to sell, knowing that some regeneration of the area, not to mention any improvement in our on field fortunes, might give him a moneyspinner.

This, I lost count of the times I corrected people on the difference between fact and opinion. Just too many posters wanting to gun down other posters for their own egotistical merits.

It's ironic that some weirdos can rail against posters with facts but only counter with a total absence of a counter argument.

The atmosphere on Saturday if they announce it before the game will be electric for our 1-1 draw with MK Dons. :emoticon-0114-dull:
It would definitely put everyone on a high. Would love it to bring a few of the stay aways back, but it will probably take promotion to do that IMO.
