I absolutely had these thoughts the other day mate.

He’d be game as **** he loved the club.

Didn't he come and watch us after he'd left? He's one of the few ex players I'd welcome back and not just because he happens to be a forward.

McNULTY CLOSE TO SUNDERLAND MOVE

Sky sources understand Marc McNulty is on the verge of joining Sunderland.

The Reading striker scored eight goals in 17 games during a loan spell with Hibernian last season and made his Scotland debut in March.
1 year loan

Either this guy is **** hot or there's at least one CM on the way out. Ideally both.

Someone must be going, that's true mate.

I'm going for Honeyman who is the most like Dobson from what I recall. I'm pleased we're signing someone who'll graft and is capable of moving us forward quicker. I bet Watmore's pleased having someone who can see a pass, make it and keep running.

It would also allow Ross to appoint a better captain such as Willis.

It does raise a question about Honeyman's injury, of course it's most likely that he's injured but it's funny how often players seem to pick up a phantom problem when they're in negotiations.

I think Dobson is more of a Cattermole than a Honeyman but probably close enough for the one in one out to fit. Not like we don't have options.

Apparently if Rosenberg win their champions league qualifier it'll give them the money to buy Oviedo who they've been after for a while, lost the first leg 2-1 but have the away goal.

Roker Report now saying Oviedo is going to Club Brugge. Either way, looks like he's off.
ize=47]Belgian news report suggests that Bryan Oviedo is set to leave Sunderland to join Club Brugge[/size]
Belgian news site voetbal24.be claim that Sunderland’s Costa Rican left back Bryan Oviedo is set to sign for Champions League side Club Brugge, with a deal ‘as good as complete’.

Hope so, getting him off the books is the last piece of the puzzle and should open up the door for a couple of transfers in. Never rated him that much anyway, he was ok in the prem, ok in the championship and ok in league one, I expected better after dropping down the leagues.

Always gave his best so no issues there.

About right.

He’s a more than decent player, he was doing great at Everton before the serious injury, he never really got back to that level.

He’s got on with it and for all he’s never done great, he’s never majorly let us down either, he’s more than capable of being a top player in the Belgian league, looks a great move for him to a famous club, and I’ll wish him all the best if it goes through.

Massive to have that last stupid contract gone.

Great fans too! Had a great night out with some of them a couple of years ago after seeing them play Kortrijk.

Aye I’ve seen/heard things about some of the fans of the big Belgian sides, surprisingly mental.

There’s a divide isn’t there? French/Flemish or something and they are fierce. I hear Anderlecht v Liege is a proper bruiser.

Yeah, I believe there is a divide but we didn't really see a lot of that.

When I went, they were about to play Man Utd in Europe. A lot of the fans assumed we were there for that but we'd just gone to see one of their league games and have a weekend on the beer.

After the game we wandered into a pub near the ground and ended up getting adopted by a bunch of their fans and drinking with them while jumping up and down to techno on top of the tables. Bit later though, in another pub, we clearly ended up in the wrong place with a bunch of lads who were clearly looking for an excuse to give us a kicking! Overall though, great experience with their fans.

Good craic mate. We’ve just booked to go Düsseldorf v Hertha in February for a pals stag (obv the match is a side issue), should be good craic.
