It was made quite clear it wasn't legally binding during the referendum as the leave campaign had picked up on it.

The result will be implemented though it's just a case of ensuring we get the result right because even now we don't know what we voted for and therefore what the result was.

...Unlike the 350m that was promised to the NHS which those campaigning for leave had promised as we now know we won't be implemented.

As far as I'm concerned the referendum promised to follow the will of the British public and we need another vote to ensure we do that.

The £350 mil that was promised was not due to start until we had paid our wait out of the EU was my understanding.

The government pretty much immediately debunked the claim and said it was going on other things as soon as the referendum was finished. (Some might go on the NHS but not all)

It was one if those claiming it could go on this but it won't necessarily claims. In my mind It's come to represent the way the leave campaign spent that same money on 100 different things because there was no unified plan so everyone could believe they would get money spent on what they wanted it to be spent on.

No, they were fined £61,000.

Anyone interested in the Brexit Leave vote murky funding questions could do worse than subscribe to this podcast: First edition came out over the weekend. Quite light and easy to listen to.

I loved the dropped in factoid that Aaron Banks admitted he met the Russian ambassador once. Then he admitted twice. No, hang on... it was multiple times.

It's here and available on most podcast feeds. https://dialmformueller.com/

Yes. Irish voters rejected the Lisbon Treaty in June 2008 by 53% to 47% but were asked to vote again on the same thing in October 2009, when they approved it by 67% to 33%.

Sinn Fein and the UK´s former Conservative party also opposed the Lisbon Treaty. Who would have thought of these two parties being bedfellows?

You are a lot more assured it will be implemented than most leavers are. They didn't expect to win because they thought it would be rigged. They could not understand the polling numbers being so far in favour of remain. Even when leave won they had that niggle that it would be fudged and at the moment they are even more sure it will be fudged.

No need for another vote. They are trying to BRINO and pass it off as BREXIT and we might yet end up with the second vote scenario anyway..........which is exactly what they all planned (May and her lot included) when they started out on the process the day after the referendum.

Just to make clear........someone said earlier that the Island (as it is known although granted it is an isthmus) ...........Says it has only been British for 200 years. I asked when under those circumstances could the "island" be called British?
In fact the island was signed over to the British by the Spanish in 1713 with a treaty.......over 300 years ago. Also the "Island" Was given the opportunity to change its status more recently. A local referendum was carried out more recently and although there is actually a fair few Spanish living there they voted by a majority of over 96% to remain a British "island" So I really do think it is British would you not agree.......?
Isn't that similar to the Falkland Islands, which we took back...? Its strange isn't it........Gibraltar was never a problem to the Spanish until suddenly it had some real value. Same with the Falklands perhaps. Then they want it back......Get stuffed Spain. It will be worse for you guys if we completely go out of the union trust me........

Edit I wasn't inferring the Falklands were Spanish by the way.

I feel they were Spanish until signed over to the British, but it was some years before Argentina came into existence.

For what it is worth, wouldn´t it be adult if one these two scenarios were to happen.
1) UK and Argentina have joint sovereignty over the Falklands/Las Malvinas and not allow any oil companies to seek oil there.
2) These islands become a UNESCO heritage site either under UN stewarship, or UK. A mature country would come to a mature decisión. I am not sure the UK is a mature country any more.

As for Gibraltar, I feel they should stand up on their own two feet and seek Independence from the UK. If Andorra can do it, so can Gibraltar. After all, they have no representation in the Houses of Parliament, so decisions taken there do not have the interests of the Gibraltarians in mind.

Good news. Under pressure, the government will publish an assessment of the effect on the economy of remaining, May's deal and No Deal respectively before MPs vote on the matter.

My prediction: The cat will be well and truly amongst the pigeons at that point and the move for a vote on the deal will become irresistible. I may be wrong, of course.

I also predict that the ERG will accuse the civil service of bias. That one I will not be wrong on.

To be honest me being the sceptic I am.......I’m beginning to think that a lot of what is going on is a smoke screen. All main party’s were for remaining. I’m beginning to think that TM and co in fact may just be going through the motions of trying to get a deal knowing that what ever is agreed is not going to get through parliament. Therefore deciding not to go with the referendum result and just decide to stay. Nah that can’t be right can it? I’m getting very suspicious though......something ain’t right.........
Got a huge gutt feeling that the remain camp are going to get their way!

Can the ERG accuse anyone of bias, or making the figures look bad, when their own chairman, ol’ Moggy, has said it could be up to fifty years before the U.K. feels the benefit of Brexit?
He has actually already made the point that Brexit is bad, despite fighting for it to take place.
