You say players play wih fear and he’s right to throw them under the bus. But you only have to look back at Jose’s record. Players are probably scared to take risk and try things because previously he’s been quick to judge and drop players who don’t perform straight away.

hea not patient with his players. They probably think we’ll i don’t wanna lose the ball here and risk being dropped so I’ll play a nice simple pass.

maybe the players aren’t courageous or brave enough but only have to look at the list of young players he’s dropped and got rid off who have gone to show that in right team with right management and bit of faith they can flourish.

He seems to have his favourites within a team and has done since his early Chelsea days and when those players are very high quality he gets the best out of them but in the last 7-8 years he’s not been the best with young palates who arenincosistent.

tbh I can't agree with Diego or this. look at every Utd game thry take a lead in.

players with fear would start to play leading by 2 goals and cut loose.

they dont. look at swansea. 2-0 up game is shut down totally. emphasis is on defence.

if ever there was a chance to destroy a side by 5 or 6 that was it. everyone from fans to players would go home feeling good.

this cannot and should not be laid at players feet.

Very optimistic to think Man Utd will win the season next year even though every current player is crap and needs to be sold

bar Ethan Hamilton, also quite the looker :bandit:

I 'member when when UTD beat us to Phil Jones and the gloating that followed. Pogba is Balotelli reinvented :bandit:

Interesting from Diego. I watched the game yesterday and to some point I understand what he's saying but also don't understand.

They played what was a sort of 433
Matic as the holding player but Herrera also stayed very deep, so was that intentional? If so then Pogba needed to pick passes from the middle looking left and right and linking the play. He remained very much on the left though. So was it Herrera who should be higher or Pogba more central?
Pogba was removed early so maybe he wasn't listening which would mean 2 deep players at home? Sorry that's the wrong tactic and Herrera should be higher
Lingard has got goals so yes bring him on but you have to adjust the formation as they ended up with a similar problem where Lingard was central but always high up the pitch leaving a hole in the middle WBA filled that space then played wide this was the issue throughout the game.

Herrera does exactly what he is told. thats was a two man deep lying midfield... at home... v the bottom side in the prem.

Its

Matic Herrera
Pogba

whereas at home it should be

Matic
Herrera Pogba

If the manager was not happy he should have changed this and scream at herrara... did he? nope.

You need to figure out what the intent is here and whether the manager's intent was stuck to buy players or not. Mourinho is claiming they didn't.

Mourinho tactical masterclass.

The full squad?

Lindeloff piss poor
Pogba Lazy ****
Sanchez frustrating as **** with his constant twisting and turning and losing the ball
Lukaku very decent, good enough
Lingard same as Lukaku
Mata great but getting on, runs out of steam
Herrera, not as good as 2 years ago, maybe should go
Bailly great but too injury prone
Smalling ok, needs a strong partner
Jones, will give blood every game and is good enough with the right partner
Rojo same as Bailly
Young can't fault him, has adapted well to wing back
Valencia same as Young
de Gea top class
Rashford very good and will get better (needs to improve finishing)
Matrial very good and a better finisher than Rashford
Matic excellent at what he does, very calm on the ball and reads the game well
Shaw lazy **** who is wasting his talent (may have mental block around his injury though)
McTominay very promising young talent, could be a future fixture as b2b mid in 2 years
Fellaini serves a purpose, not a player I want to see starting but good at what he does
Romero too good to be second choice, would be No1 in most other teams
Pereira excellent back up to de Gea and Romero (may have to move on for game time)
Wilson lost his way (and some pace) after bad injury (like Shaw), would like to see him get some game time
Blind useful squad player nothing more
Darmian nice lad but not good enough
Fosu-Mensah great hope for the lad, looks the part for the future
Borthwick-Jackson don't think he will make it
Johnson same as Pereira, will probably have to move on to get game time (de Gea and Romero are hard to get past)
Tuanzebe good young player, high hopes but not ready yet

How do you rate yours?

Karius > De Gea
TAA > Valencia
Van Dijk > Smalling
Lovren > Lindelof
Robertson > Young
Wijnaldum > Herrera
AOC > Pogba
Henderson > Matic
Mane > Mata
Firmino > Lukaku
Salah > Sanchez

This one's deffo on mourinho.

It's the shape he likes his team to be. Stops them being an attacking force

I think most utd fans agree.

As i have said many times IMO Utd have a very very good squad that anther manager would do a lot more with. Mourinho gets the results due to having very very good players but every game i have seen this season they've held back.

most of the time they don't concede goals which is his objective and thats fine but most of the time they score one or two then shut the game down so it must be really frustrating as a fan to watch cos the chances of a really entertaining game are low.

They started well playing a few 4-0s i think 4 in the first 7 or 8 league games v the sides in real struggles but then they played us 0-0 and then started just being more defensive most of the time.

TBh everyone has been hammering the ****ter teams in this league so really the gap to city is frop the harder games

LFC 0-0
lost to Huddersfield inexplicably (abused players after this and i feel this might have triggered something)
Spurs 1-0 late winner
Cheslea 0-1 loss
beat arsenal
lost to city 3-1
drew Leicester
drew burnley
drew southampton (that was a three game run of disasters that ended league)
Lost to spurs

IMO theres a few players utd have that need the arm round the shoulder and building up not tearing down and the results have shown a drop off at crucial times based on mourinho savaging them. He's done it 4 or 5 times this season and its not worked at all but he keeps doing it.

I think thats pressure showing personally.

That's what I thought and despite Diego saying otherwise I think Jose got it wrong and failed to address the issue. Rodriguez would drop into the midfield and start attacks as there was a huge gap there.

Pretty honest (you really should have said that, it would have saved a lot of typing). And your rating of yourself is?
Sorry you misunderstood my question, I didn't want you to go to so much effort.
I'm not arrogant enough to self-assess the validity of my own opinion - that's for others to judge.

Depends how far you go in the CL. If you aren't competing for the PL there are [HASHTAG]#noexcuses[/HASHTAG] for not getting to at least the semis.

Unless it won then it’s just doing a spurs/Arsenal.
