Hard working, scrappy, ragged, ineffective. Credit to Cardiff, though, they they made some good blocks on shots and passes.
Their first was from a tight angle that got between Gunn and the near post. IMHO Gunn should have blocked it easily. Their second was just unlucky for us.
Reed and Tettey where everywhere on defense and Reed looked good going forward at times. I think you can tell if Josh is having a good game early on but then who was there on the bench to replace him? Husband?
I agree with 'hard working' but also 'ineffective', but I thought our approach play was good today, getting the ball forward quickly and for once getting behind their defence. The 4-3-3 formation worked well IMO, producing 17 chances, but once again the front line failed to make the most of them. Srbeny hit the post and had 2 other shots on target but Murphy, for all of his running, was ineffective with both his crosses and his shots. Madders also had a relatively low-key game. Vrancic was our best attacking player and Leitner did pretty well after coming back from injury. Reed's work-rate was tremendous and I can see why he was the fans' Player of the Month for March. He reminds me of 'three lungs' Gary Holt.
I agree that Gunn should have done better with their first goal (no keeper should allow a goal at his near post) but other than that he had a good match. It's just a pity that mistake cost us the match.

See post #23!!Really can't wait for this season to be over. It's been so dull.

See post #23!!![]()

All I can say Cromer and FML (and RBF) is that I am still cautiously optimistic ahead of the transfer window.
Yes, it's ALMOST a foregone conclusion that JM will be sold and I just hope that SW/DF get at least half of it to spend on improving the squad, but as a result of the board's financial mismanagement, I'm not convinced that they will.
If we could keep Reed, that would be good and I've already given my thoughts on Leitner - I'm more worried that DF won't keep Godfrey. [HASHTAG]#timewilltell[/HASHTAG] .
Just have to see. I'm not expecting/hoping for anything apart from better than we have seen this season. That's going to depend on how many of our assets we have to sell, because we certainly won't be able to afford to replace like for like again. All I can say Cromer and FML (and RBF) is that I am still cautiously optimistic ahead of the transfer window.

World cup feverWell, if that's all we have to work with (apart from Maddison's departure)
it's going to be a long, turgid summer on here!

One wonders whether the USA, UK and France bombing a Russian funded / supported state so soon before the event might cause a 'non-footballing' sub agenda to proceedings? Is there a world cup this summer?
Personally I'm going to have a break from football until the new season.
