I expect we'll have a 'Summer 2018, ins, outs and goss' thread before too long, General.

Perhaps he has a football brain in spite of lacking a grammatical one. IMO, using any Maddison money to bring in Marriott and another Maddison could be a good move.

    On Maddison's style of play:

"He has an unbelievable talent, he wants to score goals and can score goals, with a magical left foot. On the other side, he works hard. Marcus was a selfish lad when I first came to the football club and now he's a match-winner and team player. Maddison is also a freekick specialist, he describes his unusual freekick technique as use the side of your foot, but you're hitting it more with your heel. If you hit with the middle of the side of your foot it just curls. If you hit it the way I do, it goes straight and moves at the same time."

I think it was MB when he was reporting on a match around Xmas and said he watched JM practising free kicks for several minutes before kick off and most went in the corner of the goal, similar to the one against Reading.

We'll certainly need a free kick taker if Madders goes and Marcus might just fit the bill.
