AGAIN.... too young!!!

Do you remember 2 years ago we had a consistent run of musicians and pop stars passing.... seems the same is now happening with sporting icons..

Just discussing his passing. Those earning lots of money through the game, much like golfers with Tiger Woods have much to thank him for.
Too true, well known fact he suffered with dartitis , but don't think many realise how early in his career he suffered with it , still won titles and reached finals while suffering , would have been nearer 10 times world champ without it . Met him on a darts event on p +o ferries and was just a genuine bloke , happy to talk and have a pint with anyone - one of my heroes.

I worked on p and o ferries quite a few celebrities went across, best one I met was Elsie tanner, lovely woman

Re Eric bristle, just been reading an article on BBC news and sorry he was a ****, having a go at young boys who were sexually abused.
Lost his job at sky because of it, oh yes what a lovely guy.

This isn't the "have a pop at the dead" thread. George Best was a knob while he was alive but he's still a respected sporting figure to this day.

No ones said Eric Bristow checked out yet. Get in.

Our kid played against him in Jar in Hand back in the day.

Thought he was older than that though.

RIP Eric.
No but when Mrs Tash said ‘Eric Bristow’s died at 60’ my immediate reply was ‘...died at treble top if you don’t mind’

...she’s really good at rolling her eyes

Wow!! he looked good for his age. That must have confused her.

No wonder he had a dart attack

If you haven’t heard this phone call in to Talksport from and ex soldier who’d been homeless about meeting Ray Wilkins it’s well worth a listen. Only a couple of minutes, but be careful...it made me get something in my eye!

Ray Wilkins, what a man, the world needs more like him, not less.

RIP to the Crafty Cockney, another gone far too young <rose> <peacedove>

R.I.P to Bristow, a sports legend. Yes he made some stupid comments but he apologised, can't stand the throw them under the bus mentality these days
