I also think that Pritchard pressed for the move and the deal was done because it is good business for the club. I still think it will be around £12m+£2m in the end which is what the majority of fans wanted in the Pink'un poll. The key thing now is how we use the money for the next stage of restructuring.

2nd TV screen on order is the latest rumour ..................

We all knew Wes can't play as a winger any more. He hasn't got the legs or the Pace. As has been shown a few times this season when DF has for some reason played him as a right Winger. So that's him out of the reckoning. Naismith should be nowhere near the first team, can't perform in any position we have put him in, and is being constantly linked with Scottish teams, so he's out. Wildschut seems to be off to a promotion contender, because he's not good enough for us. That's another winger option gone.

On top of that, looks like we will replace them all with Jordan Jones from Kilmarnock. Who although is a really good dribbler, who is pretty good on the ball. He's nowhere near the standard of those other players mentioned above. It smacks of another Andreu, Canos, Wildschut signing.

My point was that Pritchard isn't a winger. Wes (like Wildschut and Naismith) can play on the right much as Pritchard did. None of them is a winger, which I suspect is what DF wants. That may be Jones.

Lots to cover! Wildshutt has not really impressed in his time at City, some may argue he hasn't had a run of games but he trains with the team every day and has had chances. I don' think he' that good and isn' well suited to our style of play (far from the only player we have, maybe it' the style if play that's the problem!)
Cardiff have a very different manager with a very different style. A transfer that looked foolish at the time at least now has a loss mitigation plan, if he impresses on loan bonus.

Bah!

Pritchard for £12+2m is not enough. £14 upfront I think represents a bare minimum and a not very well fought transfer on our part. Good, youngish, English and creative in January! We should be making it clear to Pritchard, his agent and any suitors that he is only leaving if they pay inxs of £16m, afterall he owes us after his injuries, he's barely played. Then assuming we don't go up he can then leave for not less than £15m in the summer. He should be happy with that as he can't believe Huddersfield are nailed on to avoid relegation and his choices should be increased if he plays well for us for the rest of the season. It ain't like he's badly paid here and he signed his contract, time to show a little loyalty to a club he was happy to sign for.
From our perspective, he is a flexible peg in a round hole, that he would rather play in the square hole, at 10, his best position means that long term we could be better balanced as a team with some one whose preferred and best position is wider but, are we realistically going to buy or promote some one from the youth who is going to be as good? Sell him and we get worse, no two ways about it.
Add to that, we seem incapable of wearing the trousers during transfer negotiations and we'll probably have another over the odds player ready for the bench or a loan spell and again a weaker first XI.

Bah!

Just seen AP has taken a pay cut to join Huddersfield, who still thinks he didn't push for a move?

Sorry Dave, but without a quoted and plausible source, I seebthis as the biggest load of squit I've read so far in 2018. He maybe pushing for a move but, for less money! You'll be telling me he has a relegation clause to go down to a fiver a week next!

Bah!

Far more eloquently put than me General [HASHTAG]#nailheadhit[/HASHTAG] <ok>

David Hannant in the EDP sums up what I was saying earlier:

"In recent weeks, we’ve been seeing Pritchard and Maddison almost both playing in the number 10 role. When they click, it’s scintillating, but other times we’re left wondering whether too many cooks are spoiling the broth. Having two such brilliant, but similar players, it has put Daniel Farke in the position of having to tinker with systems to try and cater to both - knowing they are both too good to warm the bench."

I'll be astounded if this is true - maybe before Ruddy & 6 others were released at the end of last season, but surely not now?

Shoddy management once again if it is accurate. And why, why, why did Naismith not have a relegation clause in his contract when everyone else did?
How many more times will this club hit the self-destruct button? <yikes> <doh>
If all those Germans so many Germans are on £30k a week then whoever signed them is mental.

Maybe the £60k week Naismith gets pushed the average up ? <whistle>

Poxy business on our part, as has been discussed at length already.
So we make approx £1.5m on one of the brightest talents outside the PL <doh>
And no one has said whether Spurs had a sell-on clause when he came here, if so we may (just) break even on him.
****ing pathetic, moronic and totally lacking in acumen or professionalism.
Wagner won't be complaining though!

I'm so fed up with how this club is run. We had such a chance to build something solid after turning it all around from League 1 to Premiership. Going down and going back up a couple of times, felt like we were making progress. Bringing the big money in semi-regularly. A real chance to put down solid foundations like WBA, Stoke, Burnley, Watford. Where we could have the chance for a sustained spell in the Premiership. Hold our own, build the name and reputation. use that and the money to make sure our club was safe, stable and progressive.

Just look like they have p*ssed all that work and money up the wall, and now it feel like we are back 8 years ago. We are soon going to end up with no quality or assets to even cash in on, on the pitch. It's so depressing.

Cromer's right. Pritchard is one of the most exciting young prospects outside the Premiership. We are selling him on the cheap to bloody Huddersfield Town. In their first Premiership season.

I don't get why we didn't hold out for another 2 or 3 M or at least another 2 or 3 weeks, to see if there was interest from elsewhere and therefore some kind of bidding war.
It's like me putting something on ebay - and accepting the first derisory offer that comes in.
Pathetic <grr>

If we spent £15m on Naismith and Wildshutt sending them out on loan or releasing them for free only makes the Pritchard sale even more nauseating.
Especially as Pritchard has taken a pay cut and we are paying most of Naismiths wages if he does go out .

The club is run by ****ing clowns.

I find it rather amusing to read the moans and whinges of those who think they know all the details of the negotiations and who they blame when in truth they know sweet Fanny Adams.

Look at all the different valuations by all the different sources. We on the outside have no idea what deal has been made but hey, never let the facts get in the way of a good old rant.

What was that you were saying Dave? About how Pritchard is taking a pay cut because he wants to force the move and leave us?

As mentioned earlier, the EDP confirmed that Wildschut's fee was just above £4m, not the £7m often quoted. I'm also pretty sure Naismith's £8m included add-ons for us staying up, which never happened. The Naismith rumours are only that (like those last summer which never happened), but let's have a good moan anyway. <laugh>
