We need somebody with authority that understands the club and the supporters, not somebody who is looking for a. Step up into the limelight imho

That lad is doing incredible things though mate, took them up on a tiny budget and has them top of the league as relegation favourites.

They’ve lost once all season and came from behind several times, points to a tactically astute manager.

I’m not sure that experience is all that, we’ve had plenty of those who have failed. I’m not saying we should go for him, but I certainly wouldn’t say we shouldn’t, this kind of appointment could be a master stroke.

I think the toxicity of the atmosphere is a bit overstated too, don't get me wrong it's flat as a fart and players are getting booed for very little, but the thing is if the useless sods could string together a couple of home wins then the atmosphere will turn around very quickly.

I think our supporters are much happier cheering than booing but the lack of things to cheer has made the situation desperate.
Gates would also improve! In fact a win against Boro on Sunday would see the gate at the next home game increased by a couple of thousand I reckon!

Fickle things us fans but I'll keep on going regardless as will most on here who have the financial means and want!

I see that P-Nev got that tenner I sent him. Nice to hear something positive about the club for once and he is right for the most part.

Decent manager, bit of backing and there's potential there. Whether we'll get either of them I don't know.

Bet he doesn't aply though.

I agree, the players rule the roost atm and would run amok with an "up and comer".

Apparently they liked Grayson. My thinking on that is that he was probably like a weak supply teacher who commanded no respect so just let them do what they wanted.

I think our dire second half performances are down to a lack of fitness.

We need an experienced head who commands respect and who the players will listen to.

Karanka is my top choice.

After that they may nt sound the sexiest options but If it's going to be domestic then Paul Lambert would be a good option.

Did ridiculously well with Norwich earning back to back promotions and kept them in the Premier League. Probably made a poor decision going to Villa.

Interestingly he has taken his last 2 jobs in November at struggling teams whod sacked their manager and kept both teams up (Blackburn and Wolves).

He'd be a capable guardian until Short sells up.

After that. Alex McLeash with Alex Rae as his number 2.

I'd be happy enough with Lambert and I agree that we need someone with real authority that the players will listen to.

Sick of our club being run by a bunch of crap players.

I’ve read loads of posts and peoples recommendations
I’ve thought about it a lot today
All these wnabeees and mangers throwing there names in the hat
Young guns old men whoever
Actually we will only get some one on low wages.
However having said all that I think the man for the Job is
Ex boro manage Aitor krankar I can’t spell his name .
He has what it takes just maybe the money may scupper the deal
That is if he wants to come and we want him

Please not Karanka, I can't understand a,word he says, he is ultra defensive and with our shower in defence that a non starter, dont know if he has a plan B like go on the offensive but I didnt like what I saw of him at the Boro and that was with a Chairman who actually gave a stuff about the club unlike our Mr Short.
I can't see the two lads who are taking up the reins performing any better than Grayson so hope the club actually have a new manager lined up as we can't afford two or more matches, with the club in this state if limbo.
It'll just make the job more difficult for whoever comes in the longer we stay in this situation.

Having a defensively minded manager wouldn't be a bad idea at the minute though. We're a mess at the back.

We've got goals in us to give ourselves a chance if we can sort out the chaos at the back.

No Krank for me. Just cause he's defence minded doesn't mean he can sort ours out, but he's so inept at attacking football we could easily continue to leak goals, but them also dry up at the other end. Gibson wasn't shy at supporting his managers either, he's a good chairman so he had plenty to spend with them. The Krank won't get that here. Bang average manager and huge risk imo. I don't want him.

Been talking to a mate who supports Chesterfield, Paul Cook's first side in England. He reckons he's very good at building team spirit and getting the most out of his players. He also says he was popular with the fans and was happy to talk to fans if they saw him in public. He sounds to me like just what we need. If we could tempt him along with Reidy who's been working with him at Wigan I'd be very happy.

I don’t know mate, I’m not sure saf could get a run of results out of this lot, I’d happily take Reid, Keane, mon, bsa at this point, untried and tested I’m not for
