Another pub that I use at least once a year with the Ramblers. And another pub where the beer is ferociously expensive, but well kept, I must admit. They were open last Christmas Day, and we all piled in there after our Festive Walk. First pint was free, so that was a FIVER less than normal.

I can confirm that Banks and Building Societies are not the same. I worked in a Bank until they tried to turn the staff into sales people.
When questioning someelses intelligence who is very unlikely to be able to defend themselves I found it pretty poor from a well respected admin. Anyway, it's deadline day and we have a full on couple of hours ahead of us...

Yep. He's gone to Santander, which used to be a building society before it became a bank, before it became a Spanish bank! He's currently asking the staff why he can't have a building society account and getting annoyed because the staff keep trying to sell him stuff.
Then again, I'm not sure what people we're expecting. Deadline day in general is overrated, but especially when it comes to us.
I think it's been a good window. Not excellent, not bad and better than ok. One signing away from excellent.
