As I havent seen him play, question for those that have. Would Mannion be a step up on Macgregor and David ' I have to bend down again to pick the ball put of the net' Marshall...?

He is a very good keeper, I would say he could if necessary. Probably still a bit young to be the regular keeper, as you have to be mentally strong to handle the Championship week in week out. Put to come in for a few games if your number one was injured, yes.

Our kid has a reliable source and a centre half and defensive midfielder are on the cards for next week.

Both loans from a certain West London club.

I remain your obedient servant

Big Vern

Am i alone in thinking our owners are willing to sell off all of our best players , to leave us again with a threadbare squad which will be bolstered with a few loan signings and then topped up by our academy players. Worrying times for the Club as i'm afraid i don't share the optimism of many on here.
firesale I tells you!

We need a bit of steel and fight in midfield. This guy is available and got to be worth a punt .

Would Pickford not be a 'sort of ' parallel to that argument JEXA. He was essentially forced into the team at Slumberland, took his chance and the rest as they say is history...

Mannion has only just turned 19, Pickford is 23, I would certainly feel if Mannion was 2 or 3 years older he would be ready, at 19 I still feel a bit too young.

The reality is surely that the club has to sell before it can buy - Slutsky will have been made aware of this. The club needs to start operating within its means, if it is to survive long term. And that will also make it more saleable, if the Allams want to move on in the future.

Not in my opinion! The Allams have made Money out of their GIFT to the city and when buyers came calling they dicked them about by wanted more then the club was worth! The greedy bastards should spend some of that money getting is promoted and sell up ASAP! None of this self sufficient ****! We can't be self sufficient if they're driving paying fans away! perhaps, just perhaps the Allams don't wanna sell the club to any Tom Dick or Harry.
all this emotive **** about them wanting to screw the club over and have a firesale seems bullshit in my opinion.
if the Allams wanted to be evil, they could have let us just go into liquidation when they had the chance.

Yeah but that wouldn't make them any money would it? I'll say it again their GIFT to the city of hull is earning them plenty! I know they've had to speculate to get the money back in but they have had a few quid back now! They have to now spend again to have another go at the golden goose that is the prem!

No I don't but when people come on here and start saying we need to be self sufficient when if the allams would've pulled their fingers out last year we'd still be in the Prem and not letting their assets go! So like I say they'll have to spend again! If they want to get rid at the price THEY want?
