Fair enough if you took it that way, next time I'll write it in a separate post. Cheers for your feedback
You know it's never been my intention to wind you or anyone else up by telling you all why it's a good move for him. If you listen to what he said after joining it correlates with what I've been saying about the future of our club and where we're heading, which is to be a regular top six/four club playing in Europe every year and challenging for titles. That's our owners ambition and there's nothing in their way to stop them from achieving it because all it takes is money and ambition and they've got both. I'm kind of surprised there's so much animosity towards us really because I'd have thought people would think it's a good thing that a smaller club like ours is looking to mix it with the top clubs in the league and in Europe. Isn't everyone bored of the same of shiiit with the top teams dominating every season and nobody else being able to compete with them? It's been like that forever and now finally we can and instead of people saying "good on you, hope you go and show them" it's met with bitterness. I can genuinely say if it was the other way round I'd be happy for anyone to break that traditional top four or six and show the big boys up.
I think for many it would be very different if the club had grown organically and the fans behaved with grace. The reality is you're no different from Chelsea - who I recall getting 10k gates - and you're behaving like gobby ****s. Personally I've never been bored of 'the same old teams dominating' cos I don't give two ****s who wins the league. If it isn't us then I treat every other team with equal contempt.
Though not once had I slagged Hull off and said how much better we are or anything like that, I simply stated the truth about the direction our club is going, nothing more and nothing less. And grown organically? Have you lost sight of where we were a decade ago and how we've essentially "grown organically" since then? We spent a lot under Sven, well we spent £20m which was a lot back then in the Championahip but Sven wasted it and bought crap so Pearson had to come in and get rid of everyone except for Kasper, Nugent and Konchesky and rebuild with nothing, he had a very small transfer budget and this is when we got Drinky, James, De Laet and Keane from United and a few others for less than a million, including Mahrez and then spent £1.8m on Morgan and £1m on Vardy and that was what won us the league. Then we spent less than £20m and stayed up and when we won the league our squad only cost £23m. Since then we've started spending more, like £30m on Slimani and paying our players £100k/week but this has been a gradual process over the last eight years since they bought us. Chelsea just chucked hundreds of millions at it for instant success but our route is on completely the other side of the spectrum to that, we're not comparable in the slightest.
You talk, at length, about how you can outcompete financially all but 2 of the division. How has that happened then? You can't have it both ways - go on about how financially mighty you are but then complain when it's pointed out how you got there. I'm bored now so won't be replying further. I couldn't give two ****s about Lester, you don't even register on my radar and I have zero interest in your performance any previous season (I certainly didn't join the national ****fest as you won the league), this coming season or any future season.
lester got some rich thai owners did a football miracle which granted is cool but you already faded away back to an average **** team like stoke, west brom etc acting like you'll be a top 6 club you will be lucky to finish top 10 ffs "Isn't everyone bored of the same of shiiit with the top teams dominating every season and nobody else being able to compete with them" that is the single most pathetic statement i've ever heard it's not ****ing eastenders no one gives a **** who wins the league apart from the fans of the winning team and the sponsors
Can we have a seperate 'How wonderful Lesta Are' thread please, so we can get back to guessing who we're going to buy?
Yeah we can compete financially now we're in the top 20 richest clubs in the world but you clearly aren't making the correct correlation here. Our clubs finances and global brand have risen exponentially due to what we did on the pitch, with a team that cost £23m. The same players plus £40m on Slimani and Ndidi took us to the quarters of the CL and all this money we've received from staying up for a start, then winning the league and our CL group and reaching the quarter finals and finishing 12th last season is why we're able to compete financially, well that and the fact our owners bought the stadium and paid off all our debt so all this money we're getting annually can simply all be reinvested. No need to reply, I don't care for your response.
Jak in talks with Leicester Hands up all those that said he wouldn't leave because he said he wouldn't ? Come on don't be shy....hands up...we know who you are
The Humberside Big News is about The Jak going to Lester. We need to desperately shift a keeper and he was always the most likely. Any fee would be good. Surprised he's going there though when he'll likely be bench warmer, I'd have thought Watford would be a better move.
they must be a massive rich club, poaching players from a relegated team right,, a defender and a goalkeeper.. top 4 here we come but hey he must be a good manager to win the league with lester, so he must be right signing these players i hope Ranieri gets the best out of maguire, like he did those average lester players wait.. you really teling me Ranieri is not the manager anymore? why did he want to leave that world class club? there is no way at all that lester are below stoke or west broms level. anyone who says so should be in arkham asylum
Jak to Leicester is a weird one in terms of playing time. They still have Zieler and Kasper. Can't imagine him getting much playing time unless they expect Kasper to leave. Another one clearly going for money then. There's going to be a meltdown on here though. On the bright-side, at least we're losing players early instead of on Deadline Day
Alot of German clubs want Zieler and we all expect he is leaving. We also still have Ben Hamer on the books Kasper will still be the number 1
Seems a very strange one and can't see the logic behind it unless Leicester are losing one of Zieler and Schmeichel and have promised him game time.
if jak wants to not play football but get paid more than i guess he moves if he wants to be a teams number 1 but get paid less he stays simple really i'm honestly not fussed in the slightest
Eldin possibly going to Lesta is a strange one, unless Kasper is likely to leave. Unless he is looking for a long term contract that we are unwilling to give him, which is quite possible.
