we have to win.

never seen a worse bunch of opponents that those.

boro... watford.. west brom.. sunderland.. everton... really all are the same level aren't they? pure utter rubbish and should all be relegated.

Quite how the prem has so many teams like this i dunno.

teams seem now to be able come up and survive... villa should be ashamed of what they allowed happen to their club. Newcastle are similar.. ownership errors it seems.

If you were writing a list of "big" prem teams and then well run good sided clubs Newkie, and villa would be on it.. or should. shameful owners.

in the end having so many little clubs trading purely on the tv shared money is creating a two tier league.... and yet... <laugh> somehow leicester came along and fluked it form relegation fodder to champions.

Its a funny old world.
I think Middlesbrough are coming to play and enjoy themselves. They must not be underrated. We must not allow them to spoil the parry.

Has any of their players decided to ruin their career by chatting **** about crushing our CL hopes?

As wums go, it was **** <ok>

I'd laugh so hard that I'd need surgery to remove the grin on my face if you somehow managed to spew it at home to the hapless Boro btw <laugh>

I'm sure just going to a nightclub in southport will knock that off you without recourse to an nhs waiting list <ok>

Arsenal are the worry, they have 54 points with 27 points (9 games) to play for:

Crystal Palace vs Arsenal - Hopefully Palace keep up their form for this and Sakho does us a favour, but I think it will be a draw. 1 point
Middlesborough vs Arsenal
- Only ending in an Arsenal win. 3 points
Arsenal vs Leicester
- They have the massive distraction of Champions league and its at the Emirates, Arsenal win. 3 points
Tottenham vs Arsenal
- Derby game is difficult to predict, but Tottenham should be good enough. 0 points
Arsenal vs Man utd
- Arsenal are too good for them, maybe Mourinho will do a typical bore display, but I would say Arsenal win. 3 points
Stoke vs Arsenal
- Stoke have nothing left, Arsenal may be closing in on us and have something to fight for. Arsenal win 3 points
Arsenal vs Everton
- Potential banana skin, lets say draw. 1 point
Arsenal vs Sunderland (currently postponed)
- Win before they kick off. 3 points
Southampton vs Arsenal (currently postponed)
- Tough fixture, Southampton won't have anything left to play for. 3 points

Thats 20 points and would give them 74 points in total. Could quite easily be a couple more wins in there, we could be in trouble

Wasn't far off

Wenger is accusing relegated teams of throwing in the towel. How desperate ?.

Obviously that doesn't include the team that's been relegated the longest who gave Sanchez a guard of honour to score 2 goals 3 days ago <doh>

How wrong?<laugh>
To be fair, Klopp even suggested at one point that 69 points would be enough. But as matches progressed Arsenal and the mancs were still there hanging on. One last victory and we've got CL. And looking at the table we couldn't have asked for better than Boro for that last game at home.

I think Arsenal went on a 6 match winning streak at the end of the season which I don't think anyone would have expected given how poorly they had played prior to that.

But thankfully - we did the job. :)

I was always praying that we do not blow the opportunity. There was a time we had the opportunity
of fighting for second, Tottenham became stronger and stronger. Also, the opportunity of of getting third,
City kept on winning. We thought Arsenal have left it too late , they kept on winning too.
Who would think Everton are not going to get a point against ten men? Thank God we did it.

we blew 3rd ourselves v palace having lead and bournemouth having led til 88th min.

its a sliding scale of ****e.

Spurs were in fairness always on for 2nd after January and they did deserve it

City didn't really deserve 3rd but we dropped 5 stupid point and handed it to them.

Arsenal left too much to do to catch us and we were not ****e enough to let them

Utd were nowhere :)

Man City blew 2nd/3rd in the first place by playing Stones. Unfortunately I think Pep has learned that lesson now and he won't feature much next season before quietly being shipped out.
