Match Day Thread United v Everton and Palace and probably West Ham

Slightly off topic but I suspect Mainoo has gone the way of his bros Rashford and Sancho in thinking that he deserves to play regardless. We'll get good money for him and he needs to go before he stinks the place out.

Match Day Thread United v Everton and Palace and probably West Ham

Strange game all round, apart from Amad, none of our players seemed up for it and were a yard off the pace all across the pitch. Don't know if it was down to international games or what but we seemed sluggish and never took control of the game after the sending off. Zirkzee is a waste of space...

Transfer Rumours Let's ignore the big ****ing elephant and blame the latest manager, again. Are we nearly there yet?

As an aside - we should have got rid of Mainoo and kept McT - just saying.

Agree - and with Forest up next we have a chance to consolidate our position.

I'm sure I read somewhere that Brighton have beaten us more times than any other team in the PL. In that context alone a win this weekend would be a huge achievement and could nudge us up towards the Europa league places.

Just caught the highlights on MUTV - what a team performance, what a win. We could have been three up going in at half time but they kept their heads, didn't collapse after the equaliser and fought to the end - brilliant stuff. Let's hope we can keep that same focus against Brighton next weekend.

You're right. Results are completely irrelevant in the modern game, match day points should be awarded for kit design and the price of a stadium pie.

Our signings since 2020 - 39 of them, more than three full teams. How much have we pissed up the wall on some of these..... Bruno Fernandes, Odion Ighalo, Donny van de Beek, Amad Diallo, Alex Telles, Facundo Pellistri, Edinson Cavani, Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane, Cristiano Ronaldo, Tom...

Shaw is like playing with a handbrake on. His every touch was to either hold the ball for too long or, his default setting, to play it backwards. It's not all his fault, Dorgu is playing well in the space that Shaw used to enjoy, but he isn't suited to his new role and is a hindrance. I reckon...

He's been there long enough to understand that the club can't afford to ship in all the players he might want in order to fulfil his plan. Only a fool would persist, week in, week out, playing the same style of play and expect different outcomes - the majority of this squad of players were not...

Almost saturation coverage in the football press today regarding Amorim and his determination to play the game his way. Much of what has been written pretty much echoes the points we've raised her, so it's not just us. It'll be interesting to see what happens in the coming weeks.

We need rid of Bayindir, Shaw, Ugarte, Dalot, Zirkzee and Mazraoui - the last three are at least triers, the others are just crap. I worry also about Martinez when he returns from injury, I'm not sure given his size that he will fit into Amorim's plans - he seems to prefer defenders of height...

Unfortunately I can't see this changing in the foreseeable future, Amorim is too stubborn to change and we would need to buy another three or four to create a squad in his image, and by then we'll be back in 12th. We've got rid of the players who wouldn't/couldn't adapt to his system and bought...

Yeah - let's not sign a world class keeper for 200k a week, instead we can keep playing Turkey's no2 keeper having just bought some Belgium kid to sit on the bench Fkn madness. Shaw is crap, the last vestige of our back passing defenders - bring on Licha asap.. Amorim is like fkn dalek - this...
