    POTY So Far

Been a while since I posted but had to get involved on this thread. I went with Morrison. Although Solly is more that deserved of the votes I do not think we would have won or had as many clean sheets if we did not have this beast in the middle of defence. Ever present at the back and always...

    Benno offski ?

If this is the case, I think there might be a strong possibility that Waghorn from Leicester will end up back here on loan. With CP's connections in the midlands and Waghorn openly saying he wants out to play regular football, it could happen?

    EDL...again

To be fair lads, I just wanna see Charlton win.

So, what does Chrissy do now?

Welcome Greenhithe, it was very interesting to read you post having worked late and not being able to go to the game. I never even imagined putting Wagstaff in behind the Striker, but from your analysis it seems he could well be suited to the role, with most agreeing with this point. This could...

"now we can concentrate on the league" NO!!!!!

I think there are pro's and con's to going out early or having a run in one of the many cups we are in. Many of which have already been stated. While we all know Charlton have never really been known for their cup aspirations, always putting out second rate teams to concentrate on the League...

    any more ins and outs?

I think that CP will sit on the squad that he has for the time being, unless Benson is to leave, in which case I would hope he would sign another striker. If form dips, i'd expect a couple of loans around the Christmas period but I think he is happy with what he has at the moment.

    Colchester v Charlton predictions

Agreed im going for a 1-0, BWP first goal of the season. Despite not scoring goals as of yet, he is chipping in with the assists and that is what we ask of him.

Do you know this croydon looter

Acworth I would disagree, first of all n'guessan has played more so on the wings than he has as a striker for his previous clubs and if he is a 20 goal a season striker then Leicester would have never let him out on loan seeing as they are looking for one of those themselves. However I do agree...

    Pre match - Notts County

I see that Green walks into the side. The do really think it is as simple as that after the first game performance from Waggy? I think Green is more likely to come on later in the game as a Sub, say around the 70 minute mark. I do not see why we do not line as we did last week?

    Jason is Back!!

100% agree with you here. Benson will have a role as much as Euell will throughout the season, I think Powell will look into bringing the youth through this season if we start to struggle up front through injury, suspension, etc. If that fails there is always the loan market. There are some...

    Underdogs?????

Not long now boys. Two more days at the madhouse we call work and then we are able watch the brand spanking new Charlton team! I can't wait. Regardless of what we are predicted to do this season. Im just hoping for a good result come saturday, then build from there. In a ideal world a start...

    cody mcdonald

It would seem that because he for the time being, technically a premiership player through no contribution of his own, believes he is better than he is. I personally prefer le fondre and think the Cody would be too similar to BWP.

Article: Down to business...Charlton v Bournemouth preview and prediction | Football, Charlton

Very Good write up and I agree with pretty much everything you say. As for the result for this coming Saturday, im going to go for a repeat of last seasons opener. 1-0 80th minute goal from BWP. Its the first game of the season with expectations high, a lot of first game nerves with a lot of...

    Underdogs?????

Underdog is a title I don't quite mind Charlton having this season. Since relegation from the Premiership we have always been the favorites to do this that and the other, while other teams have gone about their business quietly and reaped the rewards so to speak. Look at Bournemouth last...

    Waghorn

Nah I would agree that Benson can definitely contribute this season and hope that he stays!
