So Arsenal top their group. I wonder if they fancy Real Madrid or Bayern Munich next? 2nd place might have been better (as PSG realised).
When I look at the teams that have qualified,I'm thinking "we are better than at least half of themity we didn't perform"! But goals win games.......don't they Bournemouth?
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/38241283 Nothing like the power of positive thinking - although SB should probably either scale down his ambitions or replace 'Premier League' with 'Championship'
I can see where he's coming from on this one, to be honest. He's suggesting that his side need to do better and have loftier aims than their current relegation battling form. He also knows that he'll get the sack if he doesn't achieve that, so anything lower than that is bad for him anyway.
Leicester top their stage but don't think it's easy....ask Arsenal. They usually top theirs and get knocked out in the knockouts.A 5-0 beating should make you think!
‘I don’t know how I can explain that moment. But it was the best moment I think in my life when I signed with Chelsea because it was my dream to come here,’ Willian told the Chelsea’s Youtube Channel. Here's a short list of life moments that he's saying aren't as great: His wedding day The day either of his two daughters were born The day he received his first Brazil cap Any of the days where he won one of four Ukrainian Premier League titles, three Ukrainian Cups, the Premier League, the UEFA Cup, the Superclasico de las Americas, three Ukrainian Super Cups or the League Cup Not being on the pitch for six out of the seven goals Germany stuck past Brazil The day his accountant suggested he could avoid paying tax by opening an offshore account in Panama No, that doesn't make him sound like a mercenary at all. Perhaps he can think about how great that day is while sleeping on the sofa...
My goodness. Southampton heading out. Hapoel have their first shot on target in the 78th minute and it's a goal. A bloody good one at that, but once again English teams being taught a harsh lesson: you have to be more clinical. Chances in Europe are few and far between compared to the gung-ho Premier League.
All 7 Spanish sides have progressed into the KO stages of the CL and EL competitions. 'Premier league best league in the world' my arse...
Clubs like Leverkusen know they are not going to win their leagues or come close,so,unlike Spurs, they concentrate on cups. The Israeli team did to Southampton what teams have done to us.Miss loads of chances while the other team gets one chance and scores!
Where the hell has this Leicester team been all season? City without Aguero are like us without Kane; the major difference being that their back 5 is inferior in every single position to our own. If this game continues as it has started, we have a big opportunity to break into the top 4 on GD - an opportunity that no doubt we will find a way to miss. I said last week that City would be the team to reel in and I stand by that. They invested so poorly in the summer and Pep is too stubborn to adapt his approach even though their best player is out for a month.
I'm at home with the kids tonight while the wife is out with some friends. I am particularly grateful to Mr J Stones for keeping me thoroughly entertained this evening. Everton must be laughing all the way to the bank.
