Evening all.

Now the third round draw has taken place, and we have a fairly boring home tie against Swansea, I figured it's the perfect time to introduce my "No name, no game" idea.

It's basically a boycott of this game, UNLESS the club markets it as "Hull City vs. Swansea City", any of the usual "The Tigers vs. Swansea City" and we're not going. There's a lot wrong with this club at the moment, but the continuous, provocative refusal to use our name is one of the easiest to fix. This is our chance to make a statement, and let's face it, this is probably the best time to do it, you won't miss alot and it's not really an important game...

Agree, good game for a total boycott.
Unfortunately not everyone will be up for it.
It's not just about the name though. It's the Allams full stop. So why not something like 'You're still here, so we're not'.

Count me in. So tempted to cancel my season ticket for the second time this season <laugh>

Third round of the cup sparse attendance shocker eh?

The only thing the media pick up on is protests inside the ground.
Empty seats means fickle fans for most journalists.
Why not have have hundreds of fans stood outside the main entrance before and during the game?
That's the media focal point, not your front room.

My memory is sketchy, but Cardiff fans did this in a similar game, and were back in blue shirts within a few weeks.

You can't realistically convince people to give up a lifetime's habit, but a cold January afternoon against Swansea reserves? Probably easier.

NO media attention that day Tony.... media looking for giantkiller not people pissed off in Hull... Now the Semi Final against Man United is another thing altogether thought the plastics will still be there.

"Lowest attendance ever at the KC" or something similar would surely have some impact. Protests outside the ground would be harder to organise, and you have the risk of a poorly attended protest doing more harm than good.

Remember that march at the start of the season?

People expect a low crowd for the 3rd round, and the media will be focusing on the live on tv games and giant kills not our already low crowds.
That march was doomed to fail...it wasn't even the football season, ffs.
Flags and banners with messages in the ground, red card protests in the stands.....that's what gets publicity because a picture is worth a thousand words in the media.

Those who post on here tend to be on the more fanatic side of a City supporter

I know plenty of City fans who just enjoy going to football having a day out and having beers with mates who don't post on messageboards and obsess over the club.

I've tried protesting and I got booed by my fellow City supporters.
