Not sure I agree JM. We haven't produced young players in the past because our previous managers, particularly Lambert and Hughton, haven't shown an interest in them. Under Adams and since AN arrived, the Murphys went out on loan and came back fit for the first team and Jacob is currently our leading scorer. Adams recruited McGrandles (pity about his leg-break) and Thompson while AN recruited Godfrey, Maddison, Jaiyesimi, and Canos to complement our other young players like Toffolo, Morris and Cantwell. Many on here complained about recruiting such young players 'for the future' but, IMO, AN is building very much on the Southampton model, including the coup of snatching Pritchard away from Brighton. One of my concerns about changing managers now is whether any new manager would carry on developing young players or go for quick solutions to save his own skin within the manager 'merry go round'.
