Lets not forget Mercedes is a "GERMAN" outfit and they would prefer a "GERMAN" champion

Spain - Retired because his team mate crashed into him (same can be said on Lewis' side, this was very debatable with a lot of people putting the blame marginally on Nico, yet I put it in both of their lists as a bad race not just Nico's, don't put words in my mouth please).
Monaco - He moved over for his team mate - (Ok, but why would that be a bad race for Lewis? If he is stuck behind Nico having a bad race (which he was for a while, he didn't let him through straight away) I can't see how that would be his fault either? The team did the sensible thing here given the nature of Monaco and Championship being far from over or decided).
Canada - He had a puncture and was forced to do another pit stop (Wasn't his race more hindered more because he stuck it around the outside of Lewis at turn 1 and had to back out and cut the corner dropping to 10th?).
Austria - Collision with his Team Mate (Are you really trying to justify that defensive move as not his fault?).
British GP - Stewarts penalty for radio message - Rule scraped soon after. (I'll give you this, that was a stupid rule and shouldn't have been in place).
Germany - Stewarts penalty for pushing Mad Max wide. (Key words, pushing Max wide. As in he broke the rules so still his fault).
Malaysia - First corner collision caused spin. (Lewis had one of these with Bottas after a bad start at the start of the season, Bahrain I think? But I've still counted it as a bad race for him).

So sure, give Nico an extra 3 points at the British GP. Lewis still wins by 12. What's your point? The only thing I exonerated Lewis for are engine failures. You're trying to put a Halo on Nico's head and pretend he's had a perfect season and everyone else just got in his way on those days he didn't finish 1st or 2nd.

This is also being generous to Nico and giving him the final four races as wins not to mention assuming Lewis wouldn't win any of the 4 races he had engine failures or penalties as a result of them. So in my assumptions I'm gifting Nico 8 race wins which very much would have been up for grabs by both drivers.

Do you know what I would "really really" like,

Honda to build a decent power plant, big Ron to bolt it into his F1 Mclaren, and Lewis to drive it and to win 4 more WDCs.

To be honest you're so slated towards Lewis you aren't given Nico a fair shake. I'm not saying all of these would of given more points to Nico, but you seem to be forcing the same line as the BBC. "Lewis is the greatest thing ever and Nico got lucky". I'm just playing devils advocate here, so......

Spain - A lot of people put the blame on Lewis for this accident, because the car fully behind has to give way to the car in front. So Nico first, Lewis second. Nico gets another 7 points on Lewis.
Monaco - I never said anything about a bad race for Lewis, but why are team orders OK went it suits Lewis, why can't they just race? So lets say Nico didn't move over, not even the mighty Lewis can pass at Monaco. So Lewis is now 7th and Nico 6th. That's a swing of 21 points to Nico
Canada - You mean when Lewis push his off the track? Yes that didn't do him any good, but he also had to stop for a late puncture
Austria - Playing devils advocate I'd say that move was 50/50
British GP - Silly Stewarts trying to gift wrap everything for Lewis, good to hear you agree.
Germany - If that had been anyone apart from Nico that move would of been fine, so yes nothing wrong with it
Malaysia - I didn't mention Lewis, why bring him into it.

See, if we stick to your points for Lewis, without counting after Monaco downwards, Nico swings it by 16 points.

Like i said on the other thread, biased and uniformative media. It's pretty embarrassing as an F1 fan to have to read sh1t like that.

You must have missed the part where I said Nico deserves the championship for doing what he needed to do and picking up the pieces. Also show me where I said anything remotely like Lewis is the greatest thing ever? Again words in my mouth much. I'm merely saying people are being too hard on Lewis for his off days when Nico has had just as many if not more. I'm not criticising Nico for his just pointing out no one else is either but are on some kind of vendetta against Lewis for it.

Also I brought Lewis up in some of my points as I was trying to be impartial. The Malaysia and Bottas Bahrain comment was saying just that. What I did for one I did for both.

Austria. I'm sorry but that was no where near 50/50.

Spain I counted as both their faults so gave them both 0. in my assumtion I'm already gifting Nico 8 wins in an attempt to show Lewis is being unfairly treated with the inconsistent comments but your bias is trying to favour Nico more. See how in fairness I gave them both 0 but you want to side with Nico.

Germany. Really? That's your reason? The world was out to get him because he was beating Lewis in points? There is no point having a discussion if you're giving the FIA are helping Lewis out crap as you'll just find more ways to bash him. At least I'm trying to be impartial.

Team orders were OK at Monaco as 1) the championship was far from decided and 2) one of them could win so why have a 6th and 7th instead of 1st and 7th?

Canada oh yes all big bad Lewis' fault. Again trying to put a halo on Nico.

Also I don't get my opinions from BBC Lewis Love Affair. I form them my self so don't compare that article to me if that was your point? If not then I apologise for the assumption.

I'll say it again. Nico has had a great season and fully deserves the title (I've said that 3 times now. Twice in this thread and once in a previous). However I do feel Lewis is unfairly treated on this forum with the inconsistent comments. He too has had a great season just luck favoured Nico. That being said every WDC will have an element of luck so again I'm not saying Nico doesn't deserve the title. I'm just pointing out Lewis still had a good season still.

Also apologise for any spelling or grammar errors or incorrect words. This was typed on my phone and I don't proof read as well when typing on it. Not to mention fat fingers.

    Andrew Benson is a ****.

Zero F1 knowledge. He should at least show the humility to congratulate a Champion, whether he likes it or not.

Nothing wrong with being bald now! *covers head* xD lol. Though yes, his articles are sickening to read. Not sure how he became their chief F1 journalist.

Nico Rosberg is a paper champion.

Just look at the way he was utterly out-classed by Hamilton in those last four races.

If Malaysia had gone the way of Lewis' engine not exploding, well...

Oh, and if Lewis was driving so slowly around Yas, how come Rosberg never got any sort of challenge in?

But you could equally say he only out classed Nico like he did as Nico knew he only needed 2nd. if Nico needed wins I'm sure it would have been closer.

My feeling is that Merc have brought this on themselves. Before the race they told Hamilton's half of the garage that any funny business which risked the win would result in Nico being allowed to undercut. That seemed fair enough, everyone knows the rules of engagement, before they start.

Then they ask him to speed up. Again, fair enough. Hamilton responds that he's more interested in the title than the race win, again totally understandable.

At that point they should have come on the radio and said "If we don't win this race, there's going to be consequences." Instead they went with the "Instruction", which there was slim to no chance Hamilton would follow.

In the end they've finished one two, no harm need actually have been done to the team, but by taking the approach they have, they are now in a position where they either accept they are unprepared to punish Hamilton (or either driver) and the drivers will do as they please knowing there are no consequences; or they need to do something significant (bench him for at least one race) as a demstration of their willingness to enforce their position.

There is no doubt their handling of pretty much all the issues have been poor and they have made a rod for their own back.

I'm with Cosi on this one. "Racing" is a myopic view of F1, a sport which is much more multi faceted than that. In my opinion this is something that Hamilton has either never understood or has never been prepared to embrace. It's for this reason that he's never really put away a team mate (I'm ignoring HK for obvious reasons), as he always gives them other avenues to outperform them.

As an example, last year we had to endure the tedium of listening him drone on about what a fantastic and satisfying job he was doing of negotiating his contract. It seemed to drag on for months while they sorted out the "final details". Most of which I suspect involved how often he could go to the US (seeing as he's travelled back a lot more often since signing it).
This year we've had to listen to him drone on about how unfair it is they switched Mechanics on him. I'm forced to ask therefore, if it was so important to your performance, why not negotiate that into the contract? Was it that it you didn't do as good as you claimed, or that it never occurred to you? Maybe you were just making excuses to detract that it took you a lot longer than your teammate to get on touch of the clutch. I wonder if all his extra simulator time whilst you were in the US was important in that respect?

I'll accept that there is the same kind of revisionism in some of this that Hamilton also loves to throw around, but I honestly believe Alonso and Vettel, would leave far less on the table in pursuit of excellence. For that reason I'll always regard them as better Grand Prix drivers, even if I'd want Hamilton (well nowadays probably Max) in the car if I needed a vital pass made.

    Mercedes were ridiculous.

All they needed was a missed gear or a little bit of pressure lowered in the tyres he was given or even a bad wheel nut....

Well theres a lot easier ways to fix a race if the gobshotes why say a german team wanted a german champion.
