When he doesn't play we don't win- simple as that. Obviously we don't always win when he does play, but we seem hopeless without him. 1.7 points per game when he starts 0.6 without him. But some don't rate him still.
Luongo What are Henry's stats I wonder? I wasn't at the game yesterday, nor have I watched any highlights, but I'm confident he was as **** as ever.
Luongo ws badly missed yesterday. Mind you, Henry was certainly better than Cousins & if anything we were even worse after sandro appeared! At half time we should have been in front (based on performance) but were absymal after the break.
Sandro? Our best in midfield and one of the 4 best player ratings according to WLS. And he hit the post which looked to be the closest we came to scoring.
Yes, he hit the post from a corner in about the 88th minute. IMO we were an even worse team after Sandro entered the pitch than beforehand. His passing, & tackling were almost non-existent & his need to be treated for injury following a perfectly timed tackle was embarrasing. Yes, Henry passed the ball better than Sandro did. Yes, Henry tackled better than sandro did. And No, Henry was not very good. My rating for the midfield yesterday would have been Henry 5.5, Sandro 4.5, Cousins 4.0 Perch & Bidwell would also not have been above 4.0
I've only seen some highlights so I can hardly judge. but it's funny how opinions differ. Bidwell and Sandro both got 7 on WLS you give them 4! Washington and Hall both got 7 too. Had to laugh at Olly claiming the 2nd goal wasn't the Keeper's fault but defenders not giving him an angle! They needed to be Olympic sprinters on dope to do that in that situation.
This is quite a good article from todays Guardian. Hasselbaink’s replacement, Ian Holloway, has thus far lived up to his public reputation (“You never have a boring day at QPR now...”) but is also encouraging Luongo to continue along a similar path. “He wants me on the ball as much as possible, to do what I do best. He just wants me to express myself, and I’m not saying previous managers didn’t do that, but their styles needed a little bit more discipline from me, more of a ‘team’ job. He’s allowing me quite a lot of freedom in middle.” https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...he-socceroos-star-doing-it-for-himself-at-qpr
They need to play together in midfield. That's what Ollie needs to to, and figure out. Both of them need to be let free to play off of each other and roam that area behind the strikers to find space and to direct passes
You can have the pleasure of watching it on Sky Stan! Thursday night special. All part of Sky's wonderful week of live games every day! While you do, think of us poor fools that are standimg at the back of the Upper Loft feezing our ***** off! How many times will Roller tell me all about how he met Ollie?
Blimey is that why this is on Thursday night. Sky! I might have guessed. They really are sucking the life out of a good product I suspect.
I do hope that we all join the Wolves fans (and complete respect to any of them at the game) with their rendition of "Saturday at 3.00pm". Hopefully when all is quiet in the ground & the broadcasters can't hide it! They were brilliant in putting their case forward last season.
