Can't remember which club it was, but somebody offered £30m for Troy Deeney in the summer. Now Deeney's a decent striker, but he's not
    in Studge's league.........................£35m for Studge......minimum.

    Thanks Jonnybaws <ok>

Not just using Deeney as an example, but the obscene transfer market in general.
£20m for Studge would be bargain of the century <laugh>

He's 27 aswell, in his prime

not just that, but he certainly doesn't fit into klopps plans (hasn't been rotated in at all, just a super sub). Saying that though you guys managed to mug off sunderland for 15m when borini was loaned out many times.

Not if his hip goes. I would sell for as much as can be got asap... but selfishly that should be summer.

The fact is he would be mad to move to a dead end club in January with a medal or two on offer

    Also.

His wages of 120k are more than say spurs will pay..... he's not going to be cheap to anyone.

Of course it does, if a team wants to sell a player he goes a damn sight cheaper than if a team wants to hold onto a player.

Spurs could do with a striker, but like you say, at £150K he's on, he'd smash their wage structure!
Arsenal would be pretty potent with a fit Studge in their side..
But selling to either shouldn't be an option, why strengthen a rival for top 4.
28 next birthday, injures have already taken their toll on his pace, he looks a good yard slower, still a good finisher...
Common sense would dictate we get 25m for him but when we had the "English" tax, we should still try and get closer to 30m for him.

Anyhoo, we're in a strong position, we have no need to sell, so if anyone wants him better offer big money!

<laugh> We've no idea if LFC want to sell, or if Studge wants to leave <ok>

Bentekker's didn't fit into Klopps plans yet we still go most of our money back..
Think he's a shrewd operator is Jurgen, won't sell cheap or over pay..

Agreed, whether he's part of klopps plans or not is my supposition. You wasn't questioning if that view was true or not, you were questioning on how that view would affect sturridge's value. I will forgive you though

I didn't say he would go for cheap. I even included an example of where people overpay for unwanted players (borini). It still holds true that generally if a team wants to keep a player, their value goes up and if they don't their value comes down.

They can say what they like about our Studge. But he's our striker and he's warming our bench. <hug>

    you obviously missed this:

I wrote (my supposition with logic):

but he certainly doesn't fit into klopps plans (hasn't been rotated in at all, just a super sub).
