Hasn't he been strongly linked with your lot recently? Buying another player who is ineligible to play after spending nearly £30m on Mkhitaryan seems a bit silly really, even for Edward Woodward.

Good for us but I am sad for Kompany who is injured yet again. Very bad news for City who will miss him very much.

To be honest fella your right but it's abundantly clear now we're taking the champions league a bit more serious than you guys, which is understandable as it helps to be champions in your domestic league before you take the CHAMPIONS League seriously and as you have never won the Premier League...... fair play for getting your priorities right !

Well done to your lads. Just popped down to your board a minute or so ago to post my congratulations. Amazing achievement. We were an absolute disgrace and in a way I'm glad we've ended this dream-turned-nightmare here and now so that we don't have to suffer the humiliation of being utterly trounced in the KO stages.

I had you down on a couple of bets to break Monoco's home form and win & draw respectively...... If you had got a draw I'd have won £107 !

You might want to have a word with Dele Alli then, if you ever bump into him! <laugh>
Terrible miss near the end. Didn't deserve anything, though. Terrible performance.

As far as we're concerned, I just don't know...... It's clear given the group draw we got, we have prioritised progression to the knockout stages of UCL as our results in the prem , prior to CL fixtures prove ?
Let's face it , we ain't never gonna be crowned Prem Champions again,so why not try and upset the European apple cart ?
Got more or less three months now to hit some kinda form domestically ?
    All the best boys !

    An honest assessment.

It's unrealistic to think that your players could have the same motivation in the PL as last season. You rode the crest of a wave created by a number of different factors coming together in your favour. It was unlikely to happen again, but there is the attractive diversion of the CL. Your seeding helped to ensure a favourable draw - and now you have a great shot at doing something special; 7 games (plus the final group game) from winning it. I don't think you'll get relegated, but I wouldn't be complacent - getting carried away with a cup run has done for many a team in the past.

I enjoyed Leicester's adventure last year; I'll be willing you on in the CL this time.

to be fair, whilst leicesters group was far easier, Spurs group (your a united fan right?) wasn't exactly filled with heavyweights. All 3 opponents were all more than manageable to defeat. The fact you couldn't even make it to game 6 is a travesty. We all know ligue 1 is a bit of a joke where the likes of gomis, balotelli, post injury falcao are smashing it.

Then theres leverkusen who have a few good players but are not doing too well this year (9th in the league) and obviously the butt whipping boys of moscow.

Anyway, good luck for the rest of the season except against us. Would be funny if you guys take one of the other "big boys" spots. As long as you guys keep HIAG on a leash though :p

A number of us think that this was one of the contributing factors behind a lamentable showing. No celebrity teams in the group meant that we kind of just strolled in and expected to waltz our way into the knock outs, much as we have done every year for 5 seasons in the Europa. Having a Barca, Bayern or Juventus in your group keeps the adrenaline flowing and the focus sharp.

Blimey. If Eddie Bailey had been on the touchline watching that he would have gone spare
Whatever happened to that "over the top lads" call? Today's players,I'm sure, are more concerned with their hairstyle than their football style!

    YES. I'M PISSED!

I did wonder about Ronaldo's poses after his hat trick. Was he saying to his amigos"Look at me lads,I'm a dickhead?"

FC Rostov have fulfilled tonight's shock quota, so Celtic are going to get another mauling.

Really crap acting, but at least he didn't flop to the floor and roll around for half-an-hour like some would have.
    Couldn't even cheat properly.

  18. That is embarrassing - and it didn't look like there was much love lost from Cavani towards Giroud in the tunnel <laugh>

Couldn't swap Cavani for Jansen could we. Cavani may miss a lot but he's always there trying.
