On a risk free loan possibly but definitely not on a permanent. Way too injury prone to be one of our top earners.
Good stuff should be a cracking view Really looking forward to going to the Emirates. Be weird being so far from the other Saints fans though & looking down on corporates.
Still wouldn't risk it. The man's made of glass. Always breaking down (for years now) and Klopp has questioned his attitude/mental strength too. We're already at such a disadvantage in terms of what wages we can pay and to bring a player in on 120 odd k - let's face it, he's not coming down here for any less - for a player who will mostly be injured would be bizarre and too big a gamble imo.
Fair enough, I agree to a point, I'm as sceptical as you are about him, but a loan is the best for everyone to see if he can manage to stay fit or not. If he comes down, proves himself, then I wouldn't be adverse to signing him. BUT he has to prove himself first.
I understand the point you're making. But even if he stays fit during the loan you can guarantee he will still pick up injuries throughout the rest of his career. It's a shame really as when fit and firing he's a fantastic footballer. Just always going to be one of those players.
Not necessarily...we could just need a stop gap (due to all those cups we are going to win) before signing someone we really want who may not be available before the summer.
Just so we all know, Sturridge isn't coming anywhere near here. Apart from salary, he is the best bench player in the league, for a club who are planning on challenging for the league title. He's of high utility to them.
Surely with it being the end of Novemeber and transfer rumours becoming more frequent its time for the winter transfer rumour thread.
No it wouldn't....if he scored for us, he could do the tarantella naked for all I care.* *Have told Fonte this, but he wasn't interested.
