It was great to meet up with our fellow not606's before the match. Beth you have to get Josh ( Beth's son-in-law) to come to LR more regularly. He has a 100% success rate.
He has more than 100% success rate (did I really write that?) it is actually 2/2 (he was at the play-off final too)...and his other team Bournemouth also won yesterday.
Okay, I am going to risk this (having never played I don't get the tactics like you boys do)....I am going to suggest tactically why the match changed
From the team sheet, we couldn't work out the formation...and suggested 3-5-2.
What I think I saw (Roller sort of backed this up) was a strange but very fluid set up where Hall was playing infront of Ned and Lynch as a sort of deep defensive midfielder position, in the first half Hall was often in their half/penalty area as seemed he had permission to move forward, this released Cousins and Luongo freedom to move forward too. At other points when Robinson was flying down the wing we appeared to have 3 CD. Norwich, especially a man down, could not work this....with this formation we dominated.
At half time Robinson was injured (I think I heard Ollie say it was a prcaution to take him off, so it is not a tear), we reverted to a traditional 4-3-3 (with Sandro becoming the DCM), this did not work anywhere near as well, Norwich could cope with this and Sandro was a little off the pace, especially when Norwich came back into it.
So Ollie had a radical plan that seemed to work, it does need good attacking full backs to work, and 3 solid CD who know what they are doing...and in the first half they did!.
The other thing was from the top of the Loft, we were pretty sure we saw Clint Hill on the pitch ...he had changed his name to Lynch...but it was definately Clint out there...solid, bossing people around, playing anywhere (CD/LB) making runs you don't expect......
I felt we had more of our Rangers back yesterday...happy bunny
