I don't entirely agree with MBs summary as it's hard to say that we were rubbish from the start when there was what I thought was a farcical penalty and sending off in the first minute. To finish 2-1 with 10 men for virtually the whole game is hardly a totally rubbish performance. No heads dropped and they battled hard, but things are stacked against you with only 10 men.

Where the hell this journo gets this idea from is a bit of a mystery, after Michael and Delia's statement of unwavering intent to just 'plod' for the next decade? :emoticon-0112-wonde

"Now, it appears as though the Norwich board have lost their patience
and Northern Ireland manager O’Neill could be his replacement."

Do bloggers even count as 'journos' Cromer. ReadNorwich is even less reliable than the Daily Fail. <laugh>

Read Norwich are as ITK as the posters on not606 Norwich, in other words, it's all wishful thinking, though I would never wish for Martin O'Neil after the way he nearly destroyed Sunderland!

Not forgetting Gary O'Neill (wish you were here!) and Neil Doomcaster <yikes>
[edit, there used to be a David Nielsen, seeing as you mentioned it! ;)]

This extract from the official club website post-match excuses - sorry, analysis.

"The only thing we can do now is continue to work really hard, we need to stick together and the boys need to believe that we can go and turn it around".
But we've heard the same soundbite for at least four weeks running and there's not one single, solitary sign of any of the issues having been addressed.
Do the decent thing, AN, admit you no longer have what it takes and fall on your sword <ok>

A mate of mine says that he has heard that AN is due to meet the board tomorrow morning to discuss things.

Whether that, or anything else happens remains to be seen.

It's one thing for the local rag to have bold headlines, but what's the betting if there is a Carrow Road tea and biscuits soirée later today that the board will merely say something like "Well, this is clearly not good enough with all the money we gave you to spend on a procession of very similar attacking midfielders, so best you pull your socks up or you've only got until Christmas....Ish" <doh>

Lol, post by Mad Brewer, who contacts the local press often.

Time for ALEXIT. Who'll come in I haven't a clue...
Mr Farnworth from Hewitt school would be my choice.

I have been an avid Norwich City fan for over 60 years, I've followed through thick and thin, season after season, my
adoration never waning> I've witnessed some wonderful times and an awful lot of some very poor times.

There has never been any doubt in my love for NCFC, but right now, I feel almost ashamed to admit my following of the
team! Nothing whatever to do with anything that's happening at the club but more to do with the actions of some of our
    fans.

Any fool can see that Alex Neil is floundering badly and is almost certainly about to depart as our manager, but the
actions of many of our fans pouring hate and vitriol in the direction of the man, aman who had an awful lot of early
success when he arrived, a young man with a wife and young family who have relocated to our lovely county, to receive
all this aggravation simply because he is now struggling in his job is very disappointing and shows a distinct lack of
class by all those pathetic name callers.

Don't get me wrong, he has to go, no question, but let's just thank him for all the good times he brought us and wish
him good luck for the future!

This is on the level of Worthington, their hasn't been the planned protests on that level. We are watching our club slip down the table when we need to hammer home our financial advantage before we lose our parachute payments. We can't sit back and let it happen. And Neil must take us all for mugs that he will improve us, 18 months to improve our defence and it hasn't happened yet. If we walks and accepts that he isn't up to scratch I will respect him, it's best for both parties before he damages his (pretty overrated) reputation.

Well said Dave - a nice piece of sense and humanity amongst a sea of sickening vitriolic abuse. Wouldn't it be nice if some of the people on here made a mistake at work and had to face customers and the local press hounding their Manager demanding that they are sacked - then they might understand how AN is feeling at this moment in time. I am back in Norfolk at the moment and the conversations I am hearing are sickening especially as we are talking about a Manager who got us promoted against the odds, nearly kept us up and only a few weeks back had us in the automatic promotion places. I agree that something has gone wrong and a change of Manager is virtually guaranteed but will it be for the better? Who knows who it will be. Hughton has been a success wherever he has been and our fans were delighted when he arrived. They were equally delighted when they hounded him out to work miracles at Brighton. Just goes to prove that any Manager can succeed or fail depending on the circumstances and the expectations. I am sure that the so called fans will get their way and AN will go. I have no doubt that the replacement will please some and disappoint others and those who are disappointed will start another hate campaign as soon as we lose a couple of games. After all we are a mighty Club who should be up in the Premiership by right - yeah right!! I miss Norwich and I miss going to Carrow Road every game but I do not miss a lot of the so called supporters. I wish the Club well and will always support them from afar but I do say to the supporters - be careful what you wish for and that caution also applies to anyone who wants the owners and the Board to go as you never know who you end up with.
Dave - if you are reading this. I am home at the moment because my youngest daughter has moved back to Lincoln to do her Masters at the Uni. She is renting a house in Sincil Bank. Had a quick walk up to the ground - bet it has changed a lot since you last saw it!!
