That's 2 players from 10.

This team has 10 out of 10 pressing.

That was my point <ok>
Come on,when you beat us 5 1 every one pressed in droves like Coutinho,Sterling,Sturridge,Suarez and Henderson plus ocasionally the fullbacks as well when theybwere in position, maybe sturridge didnt do it often but the rest certainly did.

Probably less than you paid for him, he will never fulfil his potential because he flatters to deceive.
His selfishness is equally bad if not more than his injuries.

But for those 2 things - he would have made an excellent striker.

although it would be hilarious for spurs to buy studge

1, he could make them better

2, it wont happen as levy dont like paying players more than 50p a week

He would, when fit.

I was very happy when we signed Sturridge unlike those who had their doubts. When fit there are not many that can finish like him, he has that something that other players lack. Look at his last game, that curling effort that the keeper just got his fingers to was superb it would have been an amazing goal from a player who has hardly kicked a ball. I think he's underrated by rival fans.

I don't think he's going anywhere this season, but his desire to be the main man will mean that he will move in the Summer and if he stays fit and gets goals he'll go for a large sum of money but that's key, if he stays fit and scores. One comes with the other so stays fit is the over all factor that matters and of course it matters to us as it'll raise his his value.

On a real...I hope we are interested. Only one winner....Levy.

In the meantime we get a very good striker...as Sucky said he would improve us. Only downer for me is that ****ing stupid goal celebration...makes me cringe and glad he spends a lot of time injured.

Infact having pondered over it, I hope we don't sign him. I don't want ***gy behaviour like that at WHL.

He's the best striker at Liverpool, easily.

Klopp plays with pressing forwards and Sturridge isn't one, only reason he doesn't play.

Have you seen Coutinho these days? His pressing game is vital, so yes he is a work horse <ok>
So he is the best 'striker' only if you ignore the fact that he can't do one of the vital things your manager requires strikers to do.

Yes.

He's the most clinical striker but he doesn't play to our managers style.

It's not a hard concept to grasp, mate!

Sturridge would put Kane on the bench, mate.

Even Jannson turned Kane into a number 10 <rofl>

It's also not hard to see that his weakness in that area would be apparent in other teams too.
To put it another way if Klopp thinks he adds less to the team than Firminho why should anyone else want to pay big bucks for him.

Because Firmino is the perfect fit for Liverpool?

It's basic tactics we're talking here. Sturridge likes to wait for the ball and bang it in, Firmino hunts the ball. Klopp likes hunters not waiters.

Put Sturridge in a team like Arsenal and he'd score bucket loads as he could wait for Ozil et al. to put it on a plate for him.

Not saying Sturridge wouldn't do well in our team, but Firmino is the better fit. I guess we'll see when Mane goes to the ACON.

Sturridge needs a smaller pond... sometimes when players want to play for better teams ..they should be carefull what they wish for ...look at Allen , wasted on the Liverpool bench mostly but really playing well for Stoke these days .

He's a lot richer than when he played for Swansea.

Or didn't money come into it when he decided to join LFC?
