More hard hitting words on our recent decline from today's EDP columnist Robin Sainty, who was among a very good panel on this week's 'scrimmage' on radio Norfolk.
When 'in-house' journos from Mustard TV and Archant newspapers start getting overtly critical, you know something is fundamentally and severely wrong with our football club.

These people are saying and seeing the same things as the supporters. It's now got beyond being disappointed, it's a proper full blown crisis!
To go and watch the under 23's play is a complete different experience. Even though some of the supposed first team squad are playing, they look as if the want to play and are enjoying it. [HASHTAG]#deadmanwalking[/HASHTAG]

Lafferty: We'd sweat blood for Michael O'Neill

Northern Ireland cruised past Azerbaijan 4-0 on Friday and Kyle Lafferty praised boss Michael O'Neill afterwards.
Kyle Lafferty lauded Michael O'Neill's motivational techniques by declaring that every Northern Ireland player would "sweat blood for him" following the 4-0 hammering of Azerbaijan.

They used to do the same for Alex Neil a while back - where did those happy days go? And why? :emoticon-0106-cryin

I wish he would stop f-ing around trying to be a Celebrity, and do his job at our mess of a club!
Reminds me of the old saying "Nero fiddles while Rome burns"
or whatever it's meant to be - I know what I mean :)
**** your new-found celebrity status, Balls-up, there's a mini crisis
closer to home that requires your urgent attention <doh>

From @OfficialIrishFA: McGovern is back with [HASHTAG]#ncfc[/HASHTAG] for 'treatment on an injury'.
Expecting to hear from Michael O'Neill later today.

While I don't wish the guy any harm and hope it's a minor thing, but it's got to the point where our pig-headed manager would seemingly get him out there even on a zimmer frame than reinstate John Ruddy. Maybe this sort of thing is what it will take to force AN to make the occasional change when his "select band" are clearly radically under performing?

I'm not sure i fully understand the clamour for Ruddy to return to the side. He was equally inept prior to being dropped, maybe more so. I'd rather give Jones a go.
But at least he has far more command of his penalty area and comes to gather crosses most of the time - both critical attributes with a wafer-thin, fragile, disorganised defence in front of a 'keeper!
Edit - Plus two of the Brighton goals and the Leeds winner were predominantly down to his individual cock ups.

But why Ruddy? His command of his box went when his ability to not cock up at least once a game went. I have not seen enough of the youth/development/JPT games to know if Jones might deserve a crack, but he can't be much worse than the hapless pair infront of him!

Bah!

I agree General, Ruddy was awful, McGovern kept the score down to 3 against Leeds, he made 4/5 exceptional saves during that game. The defence let him down especially Martin!

Ben Killip is a fantastic keeper and captain for the U23's!

Stones is being his negative self again, first thought in his head is to pass the ball into the penalty box, putting the keeper under pressure. Danny Rose is a brilliant player, the best in the England team by a mile!
