I don't know which game you've been watching but that certainly doesn't describe tonight's England game. Poor first half, much better second half and by far the better team.
Southgate's got the job in the bag now, although he'll probably try and make out it's not up for discussion at the moment or feign an indifference. A cliche of our times from the caretaker - indifference towards the job they want.. Imagine any other industry, on a work trial or interview and you show such a lack of desire for a job? Anyway, I think Southgate will be a disaster and it's a piss take that getting 7 points from Slovenia, Malta and Scotland somehow qualifies him for the England job.
