I'd rather neither happened.Rather all of that then violence towards people. Already been reports of gay people being beat up, transgenders being abused etc etc.

So would I. But people are angry that a racist, bigot, disabled mocking guy is now president. You can tell from his twitter post how he is going to be.I'd rather neither happened.
Yeah, I get that. I was horrified and surprised when I woke up and saw he'd won. I don't support Trump at all, I just think some, maybe most, of the reaction to this on both sides is fanning the flames. Attacking gay people is wrong, but burning flags and rioting are also wrong. What happened to "When they go low, we go high"?So would I. But people are angry that a racist, bigot, disabled mocking guy is now president. You can tell from his twitter post how he is going to be.

I get your point, but we need to be careful about unintentionally creating false equivalencies. Some things are more wrong than others. Not saying you don't get that, but it's been a problem through most of this election cycle.
But we also need to be careful about pointing at one side or another and claiming they are worse. There have also been reports of Trump supporters beaten up. Let's not forget that a North Carolina Republican office was firebombed just a few weeks ago.
Although I do think you actually hit the nail on the head with your Michelle Obama quote. She and/or her husband could really help defuse the situation here on both sides with some calming words. Trump can't do it, because his mere appearance might just fire up the idiots more, plus he absolutely sucks at these situations and has already kind of blown it.
But it is a problem of sides ISIRTP. CNN are banging on about "Trump needs to come out and denounce............." over the instances of people getting beat up and children in schools chanting "white power" or "build a wall" to their hispanic classmates but they are not saying the reverse about Obama calming the protestors.
Actually I was brought up a Catholic. Believe me, I've done with prayer. In your opinion.
Just because you have never tried prayer is no reason to mock those people who, for a variety of reasons, may have come to rely on it
Because Trump **** the bed as usual. He said the protesters were paid. Then he said he was proud they were being patriots. No one knows what he is talking about. And then Trump's idiot spokesperson publicly called upon Obama to do something, instead of being a normal, sane person and appealing to him privately.
Yes, Obama should try and fix this. I assume he will in just a bit. But Obama is not always going to be there to dig Trump out of the foolish holes he digs himself.
Trump was the person that enabled these people. The people that voted for Trump enabled these people. The **** he has said is disgusting. He is a embaressment on Twitter even before you realise he is the president next year. Any one sticking up for 99% of the GOP views are in my book disgusting. No, you are doing the lefty habit of taking things quite literally. I can see what he is saying but you seem not to be able to. He is talking about what we call rent-a-mob.
He means that there are organisations that have got their supporters out there. Van Jones denied it this morning and was very quickly reminded that last night he named 6 organisations that were involved in getting these demos out. Unsurprisingly Van Jones then started to try and backtrack and change tack.
Donald is just using the word professional to mean rent-a-mob. We say rent-a-mob but we don't mean they are paid. They are just organised groups and then it is presented in the media as spontaneous and others join in the protest of their own accord.
As for the confused tweets it is quite obvious to people who aren't trying to make a point of things, that Trump has made his tweet about professional protestors (rent-a-mob) and then one of his team has jumped in and said "Donald, can't say that these days because people will make something out of it" and he has then been advised of a "positive spin" to put on it.
That is the very real problem in this day and age where every word is scrutinised and people choose to take things literally when it suits them.
As for the "Trump's idiot spokesperson bit. CNN has had multiple commentators all day saying that Trump should be publically condoning the actions of those that feel empowered. Laughably they have even bee saying he should be saying something to calm down the protests. Yes, thats right they are suggesting that Trump should be speaking out to calm down the anti-Trump protestors.
What do they want him to say? "I give up guys, Hillary can have it."
People need to stop pretending they don't know what someone means just because it suits them to take comments literally. We use the term rent-a-mob all the time over here. It just means the usual organised groups that are seen at every demo. We have them here too. It doesn't mean they have been rented or paid. It just means it is the usual suspects.
Oh look.....Trump is not going to change Obamacare. He is going to repeal it entirely.
It is an important distinction. You are correct that a majority of people (though nowhere near 90%) believe that Obamacare needs fixing. But many of the people who are unhappy about the rate increases and are demanding changes would otherwise not have insurance at all.
The percent of Americans that want a complete repeal immediately vs those that either want no change, changes, or repeal but only after an alternative national healthcare plan is in play is more around 50/50.

Nope. One side is clearly worse then the other. To claim they are just as bad as each other is wrong. Both sides have said disgusting things. The other side manipulating demographics is just as bad. Both parties are "enabling" this fight against each other. They are using people as pawns to suit their own purposes.
They are both disgusting.

Can't agree at all, I didn't see Hillary do any of the **** Trump did. I also don't see people of Hillary's side wanting gays to have therapy etc. I don't know how you can say both are the same. That is not true at all. They are both as bad. They both are guilty of targeted exploitation of people as tools to get what they want. Neither cares about what happens to those demographics and when something bad does happen they just blame each other for what they caused themselves.
The left continually shout out about the right and get away with using exactly the same tactics. They are now bandying about the term demagogue because they've worn out the racist, bigot card and they fail to see that is exactly what they do themselves.
I am a woman so all you women vote for me. Blacks and Latinos, the republicans hate you so vote for me. Young people vote for me because those guys are your enemies.
Both sides are equally to blame for this and are both equally as disgusting. Do you really think people like Soros care about the demographics they are pretending to care about? They fund groups to stir up trouble to further their own causes and then they blame the other side when what they stir up causes a bigger problem than it already was. They aren't bothered about a solution or real progress. they want to maintain the status quo because if the divides disappeared they would have lost their power over each demographic.
