I cant see that happening as too many logistics. However a good article by the 'unidenpendent'.

The funniest line was this "young people looking to flee an increasingly insular UK". I can see now mass movement of people from the UK going to Calais or Syria. <laugh>

Listened to some analysts on the radio yesterday talking Brexit and they said that everything with Europe is so entwined that it will take many years to sort out a new process. By that they mean't every company, every product.
However the good news is that the bird from Alaska says we are top of the trade list with the U.S.

Thought The Donald was heavily against any trade agreement that doesn't explicitly favour the US in his I win you lose worldview.

Sadly agree on the passport thing, can't see how it would work. A kind of dual citizenship I suppose.

Is this for real? Seems I might not have to apply for an Irish passport after all.

True enough apparently, although not sure why the UKIPS person is so irate.

Nice in theory, but as Ellers and SB say - not really praticable

Why not just give all UK passport holders a free visa to move about the EU? It looks as though it's intended to be divisive.

Funnily enough, I see more people have actually voted for Clinton so far*. Cameron missed a trick there in his advisory Referendum Bill - the fewest number of votes wins :)

Why not give all EU citizens the same rights in the U.K.?

See, that's what the EU will ask as soon as they start dishing out these blue passports. Scoundrels...

    On the US election:

Hillary Clinton had her concession speech prepared - she just never thought she’d need to read it out loud.

And when the moment came early today to admit that her lifelong dream of becoming America’s first woman president had been dashed, she simply couldn’t face the world.

The devastated Democratic candidate remained locked in her New York hotel room as it became clear that her glass ceiling had come crashing down around her.

This is the first time, and the only time ever, I'll feel sorry for Hilary. All that bloody work, all that money, all those babies kissed, all the luvvies hugged - all for nothing

Should have just shagged some sluts and proclaimed loudly how other women allow her to do what she likes with them because of who she is.

Actually on second thoughts one can never rehearse saying "God Bless America" over and over again. That's all you need to appeal to the average American voter.

As we know in the UK, the person who wins the popular doesn't always win the race. She is about 200,000 ahead in the vote at the moment, which sounds a lot but remember she won CA by more than 2,000,000 votes.
His win has also dented rather heavily Obama's legacy as it appears Trump will abandon everything he stood for.

Re Europe and access, I know we have discussed before but it would be in noones interest to block access to other countries. I see a lot of saber-rattlling and that's it.
The way it's going we will be in the EU for years so I wouldn't worry.

Well re Europe I think today the figure of people wanting to retain their free movement inside the EU would be a high figure

If that was taken from me and the millions of people who enjoy this freedom then it will be a disaster

I would just be British living in England

Imagine if he hadn't talked about grabbing women by the ****, made fun of spastics, mocked war heroes while being too cowardly to fight himself, not paid any federal tax for 20 years, called all Mexicans rapists etc ad nausem how much he would have actually won by? It's fascinating in a fantastic and grotesque way

OK, he's the US President (elect) now. Lets talk about something else. I've had to put up with all this crap, from both sides, for nearly 2 years, now and its really boring. :)

I'm trying to. All I can see is that if he hadn't said what he did he would have lost. His core vote was red-blooded men who felt left behind. If he had come over as a nice guy with a dazzling smile he wouldn't have got as many votes. You can't present yourself as the anti-establishment anti-hero if you try to sound like them and only try to make politically correct noises. It shouldn't work but then these are Americans we are talking about.

Wouldn't have had you down as an easy stereotype anti American Yorkie. Most of them didn't vote for Trump anyway.
