Also look at Defoe he saved Sunderland last season and he is the same age as Berbatov so maybe not such a silly signing after all. He knows where the goal is ( he scored against us enough) it might just get some confidence in the side and get the others playing. He will certainly have respect from the players. He gets my vote!
Did you not watch the Man utd game......It was embarrassing with not a single tackle as we backed away from every man utd challenge.... they were spineless and unorganized with no captain's input at all....That confirmed it for me that we are going down....
I was at the game. It was abundantly clear why they weren't "pulling their weight" - because they are being managed by someone who is way out of his depth. That is the second decision that has to be made by the new owners. 1. Kick out Huw Jenkins and employ a suitable replacement. 2. Kick out Bob Bradley and employ a suitable replacement. Now we're starting to get somewhere Dai, rather than having a defeatist attitude and giving up with 27 games left to play.
So you think Bob said ."ok lads go out there and enjoy yourselves and back away from every challenge and Leon your captain here keep your instructions secret and try not to be out muscled by the bigger much fitter opposition if you can......He failed and dont forget lads when you do get the ball please make sure you pass it back to them or they will be upset..... Come on what manager would say that ? The players were too frightened of Man Utd and showed them far to much respect....The players were at fault 100%...
We will struggle in championship with This team and manager.. need to get get bob the plonker out!!! Let him manage the un16s swans that's his level at the club. We should have went for Steve Bruce. Or Dennis berkamp or laudrup!! These are serious names who got great experience. Plus we Need to drop Leon Britton aswell need younger blood with cork. Give mcburnie a chance up front. And Get montero bk.
Agree with a coupler of points but not get rid of Bob after 4 games that any other manager would have had the same result. Just look at the situation the Americans and bob are in and when it comes to that Alan Curtis bobs right hand man as well as they have been dealt a raw deal with Jenkins and the Morgan's who have quietly but surely sold off our best players for huge profits and Jenkins part was to replace these players with the cheapest he could find even though there were some tasty premiership players there up for grabs. It has been a long term strategy by these 3 clowns that nobody twigged or saw what was happening under their noses. I would not any blame on the Americans or Bob just yet until we first see what they will do in the January window and then it could be too late. If this is the case then we will see what they have planned for getting us back up at the fist attempt.....
I'd be very interested to hear what Bob said to them, because it clearly didn't work. It was the most inept performance by any Swans team since we arrived at The Liberty and it's clear that Bob has lost the dressing room already.
I see Montero has fractured his hand against United. Unless we can keep Montero and Barrow fit and starting on both sides of the field, I don't think we'll pick up the required points by January to give us a chance of clawing our way back. If Montero is out for another 2-4 weeks, we could be doomed by Christmas.
My issue is that I don't know who to blame any more. We've tried sacking managers and it doesn't seem to make a difference. So I'd be inclined to think that it's the board mostly to blame with their poor purchases over the last 2 years resulting in a now gutless, low-on-confidence squad.
They are saying 6 weeks, which to me is taking the piss. He's broken a finger that all. Bloody footballers, bunch of overpaid prima donnas.
When's Dyer fit? Can we recall Kenji Gorre? Does Berbatov have any mates who can play on the wing? It never rains.....
Where we stand at the New Year will dictate whether we sell or buy players . If it looks bad , we sell and prepare to send down an egoless team of reasonably good players and add a few in the summer . If things perk up , a few new players will come in in January , preferably a holding midfielder and a defender . Biggest two months of our Premier League existence is upon us and Bradley should be able to build something off of his 4 games in charge and the next few months of favorable fixtures ...heres hopin
Bob would have given them with Curtis the right instructions but the team was to weak and too frightened to carry them out. It's not always the managers fault and when you look at the first half performance it is clear as a bell the players gave united far too much respect.....plus some are not premiership standard looking at them....
Bobs great according to you dai , then when things go south it's everyones fault but his .... where have I heard that before .
Yes of course he did you were there i suppose Bob has said he discusses with Curtis tactics.......The team are not premiership standard together it's plain and as simple as that ....The has been's are past it, the youngsters are still green and the quality we do have are being let down by the rest.....and there is no leadership on the pitch......Bob has had 4 games...who do you account the other 40 odd games too
