Derby County were relegated with only 11 points gained. Can The Swans' avoid the ignominy of getting less than that ?
Well it is more than 6 months since our last home win..... If we are to remain in the PL, we have to start winning at home & fast. We have played 6 matches at home this season and have 13 left to play. Winning 8 and drawing 1 would give us 25 points to add to our meagre 5 earned to date.... Can we pick up 10 more points on the road? Last season, there were times when I was "fearful" of the drop, but deep down I always felt that we would muddle through. This year, I just can't see it......
After our next game , we will have played all but 1 of the top ten teams with 7 games remaining to the first half .IMO our run in to the New Year will tell if we will get relegated or not . 20 points before we ring in the New Year is what I expect and hope for.
We are the worst team in the premiership Orchestrated by one man. We deserve to be relegated and i agree with that as it was always on the cards so there is no point in losing any sleep over it...Not that i would anyway, It wont make the slightest difference to me what league we are in as it's just a game and nothing important at the end of the day.....
That's no excuse to sit back with 27 Premier League games to go and surrender our current status without a fight. The overwhelming majority of our fans want to see top class football in Swansea for as long as possible. They want and expect those in power do their jobs and make sure that happens.
Well that's your choice. i would rather watch top class football but it's not the end of the world if we dont...The championship is more competitive and i will enjoy watching us in that......Someone has to be relegated and it looks like it's our turn.....That's life in football im afraid and nothing to worry about....
No one has said it's the end of the world. The aim of any football club is to be as good as it possibly can. To play in the highest division it possibly can. 99% of our fans want us to stay in the Premiership for as long as possible. I'm not sure why you're trying to question their frustrations when things are going pear shaped..
You cant perform to a premiership standard if the team has been dilapidated over the course of a few seasons and replaced with players just not good enough that we have to call on the old school who are past their best.....It has been coming for a long while and has finally caught us up what a miss matched squad of players we have...self inflicted im afraid and definitely no surprise.....
To a degree you are correct, but the majority of our players were playing mid table standard Premiership football only a few months ago. We have a transfer window in which to acquire new players. There is still plenty to play for provided those in charge do their jobs properly and make the correct decisions.
I agree that Dec will be key. We will be playing 5 teams that are within 6-7 points of us and will have chance to move out of the bottom 3....but the players have to show more effort. I won't blame BB for everything right now. He's playing with a crap hand at the moment and if he can get to Jan with us out of the bottom 3 we will have it all to play for.....assuming the Americans put their hands in their pockets, which nobody can be certain of right now.
The transfer window cant come quick enough but i think with the way the players are not pulling their weight it will be too late as we will be too far behind...I will always KTF but it's turning out to be blind faith....
Come on stop the doom and gloom! On the weekend Sunderland got their first win, you just know they will get out of trouble. They have time and again with different managers. They struggle all year but come the end of the season they go on a winning run and scrape over the line. Other teams will have players out through suspension, injury and loss of form. Watford, Hull and Burnley will have tough times ahead that is to name just three.
