    For me on gerrard

    1. I would need to look at those rumours of a deal in china. At the time of the us move I thought his girls were staying in school in UK. I didn't pay any more attention after. They might all have ended up in LA. I know they spent summer there. I would be shocked he'd drag them to china for a last 5/6 mil haul.

    2. His legs are so far gone he really is just pulling in the image rights and last wages IMO. I think he deferred the image rights still he was in lowest tax area and that was US. Again i'd be surprised he goes on more jollies

    3. He has been courting england etc every time he's been able so I would expect he would go into england camp coaching like neville did.

    4. IMO klopp would stick the guy in the academy and see whats what. I don't think he'd be threatened by gerrard but equally having a spare wheel about the place is not needed. He's got to prove his ability to coach first.

Gerrard struggled in the MLS. He hasn't got a playing career left. He Should focus on coaching and working from the bottom.

This is the reality. its his choice when to retire if someone pays him a shed load but surely with what ever in the bank he's well sorted and family has to come into it? At least I'd assumed as such when I heard his original plans for going over there.

plus these days the reality is a top manager wage or top sky wage = mls playing salary.

henry got 4mil for punditry which equalled gerrard's mls deal!

If I'm honest, form a selfish point of view, I'd have liked it if he packed it in altogether after he left us..
This going on to the MLS and now maybe China/elsewhere, makes him look like a boxer that's had one too many rounds and doesn't know when to give up.
For us, I'd rather he was remembered for all the great performances he put in when playing for us than lining his pockets with next to no legs and ability left and making a fool of himself (slip aside for rival fans..)

all true. I'd wished he's not slipped over and won a league and retired. He was done that year but got loads of pens of SAS to make him look better. the following year he was painful to watch.

any links to the china stuff cos i'd not heard it?

Liverpool have secured Kevin Stewart, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Ben Woodburn on long-term contracts.
Stewart, a 23-year-old midfielder, is already part of the first-team squad under manager Jurgen Klopp and has made 17 appearances.
Fellow midfielder Alexander-Arnold (18) made his first-team debut against Tottenham in the League Cup in October

Liverpool competing with Arsenal for the 'new Samir Nasri'
Liverpool are interested in securing the services of Marseille teenager Maxime Lopez, who has been labelled the “new Samir Nasri” according to the Le Parisien.
Arsenal are also interested in the youngster according to the paper.
The attacking midfielder made his first team debut for the south French club last week in a 0-0 draw against Bordeaux, and was watched by various scouts.
The 18 year old has also been recently named in the France U20s, meaning the English clubs will likely not be the only ones after his services. His contract expires in June, meaning it would be relatively easy to sign the player if he decides not to renew his deal.
The Nasri comparisons are easy to understand on and off the pitch. Not only are they both products of the Marseille youth academy, they play in a similar way: creative but with a mean streak that seems to be bred on the streets on the port city.
