Well I suppose it's forgotten now how popular the SDP were when it was first created and at the same time how unpopular the Conservatives were before the start of the Falklands war. Funny how a war does wonders for the power of a dictator (and kick starts the career of another one).
 
Nigel Farage trying to stir up anger and violence again today.
It's never been clearer that he's a demagogue who's attempting to create division and cause problems for the country.
The sooner he ****s off the better.

He's like a ****ing malevolent boomerang: keeps coming back every time you think he's disappeared!!
Trouble is, not only does he have a significant audience and sections of the right wing media in his corner, but I think he actually believes his own hype. Very dangerous combination!

I don't think that he believes anything that he says, he just likes to promote himself.
He's continuously dishonest and he's looking for a way out of this mess already.
Off to work in the White House for Trump, if his comments the other day are to be believed.

And what was Neale from the Home Counties demanding on his Facebook page if he doesn't get what he wants? Rioting in the streets.

The SDP comprised respected senior Labour politicians, who had actually served in govt
in senior positions, and had a sensible political outlook driven by conviction rather than opinion polls.

No group from within the current Labour / Tory ranks could split from their party and
have the same gravitas with the electorate that the SDP founders had.

Don't blame Trump. If Hitler and the devil were Republicans the Republicans would vote for them.Who cares about the country? Get a Republican in even though he is insane!

I suspect the FBI have had their arm twisted - obviously someone who is contemptuous of the Hatch Amendment Act which forbids government agencies from indulging in practices which could have an impact on the outcome of an election. Ten days out from an election eh...you can't make it up.

You could argue that he's just doing his job as leader of UKIP.

He might actually be quite useful if he was given a decent job for a decent organisation instead.

Farage is a snake oil salesman.

He neither says what he means, nor means what he says.

Now, I realise that's a common trait amongst politicians. But he's particularly sleazy. Especially this inexcusable rabble rousing he's indulging in over the High Court decision.
 
Interesting late development as the FBI announce that there's no new evidence to investigate further.......
Apart from the fact that they must have been very busy the last few days going through 60k emails, it again highlights the political motivation. Likely that the damage has already been done to the Clinton campaign, but it hasn't stopped Trump now crying foul (again) <laugh>

In other news.... Suzanne Evans prospective UKIP leader has continued to call for control of the U.K. Judiciary - in terms frighteningly similar to those espoused in Nazi Germany!!! Heaven help us!!
 
Funny how a politician doesn't understand the basic separation of legislature, executive and judiciary enshrined in the nature of democracy in this country. Mind you, if politicians stuck to that more rigidly there would be a lot less to worry about.

It's called hypocrisy.

These are the same people who were crying about democracy when there was mere mention of a rerun of the referendum due to the blatant lies told by the leave campaign.

Now it suits them, they want to see the correct democratic process avoided altogether.
