Agreed with all that until you talk about a RB. We have at least 2. We need a better CB, striker and playmaker in midfield first imo.
Steve Bruce would never have come here anyway, no money to spend and a poor squad in place. The best we can hope for if a change is to take place is to get someone like Warnock who has a proven track record for motivating players and making teams play above themselves. Even that option is going to get us nowhere, we're simply not good enough to get out of this league at present and if by some fluke we managed to do it we'd be lucky to get more than a dozen points next season. We need better players and unfortunately that costs money and requires skill in selection which we've clearly demonstrated that we're woefully lacking in.

Hello all and welcome to my latest column for the Brent & Kilburn Times. I think it’s safe to say that firstly the performance against Brentford was under no circumstances acceptable – the fans were well within the rights to vent their frustrations after a display like that. I was at the game with Martin Rowlands and we just didn’t understand what QPR were trying to do, there didn’t seem to be any real game plan. I’ve said before I wasn’t sure if Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink is the right man for the job, and those concerns are intensifying. The most worrying part for me of all are Jimmy’s post-match comments. I don’t understand them at all. He said after the Brentford game it wasn’t like the previous six games where we had performed well – I must have missed that. We’ve only won at twice at home all season. It’s not the first time I’ve been pretty perplexed by comments Jimmy has made and I’m sure it won’t be the last. I’m really starting to wonder if the standards he is setting for the team are high enough. I’m not sure what the goal was this season, but if he and the board are pleased with the previous six performances then obviously the target wasn’t to get in the play-offs this season – it was mid-table obscurity. You can’t scrape through games winning 1-0 throughout the season hoping you can sneak into the play-offs, you need to perform at a higher level than that and as a team know exactly what you are doing. For me Jimmy has been very stubborn with his formation and tactics throughout his spell to date - he’s very set in his own ways.It took 65 minutes the other night for him to change it. If it’s not working, just mix it around. To play players out of position and expect them to have the same impact as they do in their preferred position is asking a lot. A lot of people are giving these players stick, but it’s not really their fault. I remember this time last year where it got to that stage where all the fans had completely turned against Chris Ramsey, and I think if things don’t change rapidly, and by that I mean the quality of performance as well as the results, the same will happen to Jimmy. It’s certainly looking that way at the minute. They might give him until Christmas, who knows. But the last time I felt there was a little bit of pressure we nicked a result against Fulham which was more by luck than anything. They missed two penalties and were the better side on the day. You’ve got to set your standards at the start of the season and if it was to get in the play-offs, that certainly doesn’t look like happening. Sooper I have been saying for some time that TF has put a lot of faith in JFH and desprately wanted it to work. He is hoping that he, JFH can turn it around but sadly for him too many people (professionals/journalists) are question his tactics.
we were quite good against City and the atmosphere wasn't toxic at all - just pretty quiet. It felt like there were only about 3000 people there for most of the game. I imagine that would feel like 300 people if we got Sherwood in. He really is a pillock. A pillock who loves the sound of his own voice.

Well Cook can think what he wants as everyone, but he's wrong when he says he waited 65 minutes to change things against Brentford - he changed things at the start of the 2nd half moving Chery back from the right to the Center.
Thank God for that I think I'd even prefer Timmy over Lambert. I'm handing back my Hoops if Pearson ever gets the job, he's a horrible nut case, I think TF would be too afraid of him anyway.
How about just adjusting the reality that we are here in the championship for a while ... Then JFH is fine IMO Let him tinker keep us up and then we go again while building a side slowly Just enjoy each match because we will win a few and then watch everything change with confidence
I think there's definitely some merit in this point of view but for me it's very frustrating as on paper we've got the makings of an exciting team- not necessarily a successful one- but the current management can't/won't play in a way that makes me excited to go and watch. At 26 and with few commitments I'm lucky in that I could go to every game and didn't used to think twice of taking half a day off to go to Wigan midweek or wherever but I'm finding it a bit of a drag even when we do nick a win. By the end of this season I'll probably have been to fewer games than the season I was living abroad. Would Dim Tim or whoever else could come in make it fun to go to Rangers again?
It's just an adjustment but I agree for a club with our west London heritage it's piss poor but currently IMO it's still better than the mess we had when in the Premier league I went to most games and we were miles off the pace ... I went to watch Taarabt because it was worth it If the club was serious about any right fit manager with our resources we could easily go and get a top manager even if they are employed now ... Where there's a will there's a way but I honestly think this current rebuild will take a long time and I am prepared for that When I think of Forest and other teams in this division it must been awful for those fanbases ... We haven't earnt our pain or lessons yet IMO and just saying twist is no good Our current squad I don't think is good enough anyway for any level higher than we are Most clubs would have looked at our players and I just don't sense the demand ... If an offer is made by any chance for anyone they will go I believe and we will lose money I would have done everything to keep Austin and Hoilett .Faurlin Phillips I don't believe there was enough done by the club on footballing reasons and we allowed players to be purchased by a manager on a rolling contract don't add up but it is what it is

I don't think anything could have been done for Austin to stay and he was simply too good for us. Hoilett and Phillips I was sick of and we seem to have given up on wingers anyway despite having two potentially very good ones in the squad plus some not so good ones who can't make the bench. I could understand losing Faurlin when the mantra was all about the high energy game we'd be adopting this season but I've rarely seen it and there would have been games Faurlin would have benefitted us, certainly more than retaining Henry has, but in hindsight for him it was for the best to go. Whether one or two up front I'm not too bothered- Polter and Sylla together on Friday was still crap- but the real crime at the moment is the lack of anything from out wide and overrated centre-halves when I think the solutions exist on the bench.
He's fine if you think he has a vision/plan. Not visible to me. I suspect at best he'll get us to stand still.
We really are doomed, no light is currently shining at the end of QPR's tunnel. Saying that has it ever fecking shined much anyway...?
Good days Bad days We are all lucky to be in this madness IMO These days make me feel deeply for people who haven't got **** all ... IE nothing to moan about and nothing to get passionate about If we lose today then it's for a reason And QPR the gift that keeps giving should be educating us all I want to win make no mistake I hope to be playing in my first competitive match for a while under lights at the end of the month and already I am building up for a good performance albeit maybe only 20 minutes but I understand the desire to win at any cost because it's already there inside same as it was when I use to play twice a week The reality is that I will playing against young men and the body will be very much different from the brain But the desire never goes
